“Fantastic stay in Prevelly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We were looking to stay just for the weekend (2 nights) in the middle of completing the Cape to Cape track and this accommodation was perfect. We were expecting budget accommodation however, we were very pleasantly surprised at the comfortable, clean accommodation. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms, communal kitchen and dining area. The young couple running the place were extremely warm and welcoming which created a relaxed and enjoyable stay!
I highly recommend staying over if you are looking for relatively cheap, comfortable clean accommodation close to the beach in an awesome town!

Stayed 4 nights here over Christmas. It was wonderful.
Classified as 'budget' accommodation, we were not expecting much, but were absolutely charmed by the resort and it's location.
2 minute walk to a wonderful Aussie beach.
Comfy, clean rooms with fresh linen.
Ours was a 'family suite', comprising a 4-bunk room, adjoining queen room, and spacious ensuite. Absolutely the perfect set-up for a family.
The proprietors could not have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
The common areas were so pleasant - huge lounge and dining room with lofty ceilings was a wonderful place to hang out. There is a second lounge/dining adjoining the first and a TV room with ping-pong table. The communal kitchen was large, of commercial standard and well-equipped, making self-catering so easy. Plenty of fridge space, too
Free tea and coffee making facilities are always available.
There is a guest laundry with new Speed Queen washers and dryers, and outdoor barbecues and dining tables.
We had such a good time here; wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

A clean and chilled place to stay. It was extremely quiet when we stayed and we hardly saw a soul so there was no real atmosphere but a great large communal area with tables, sofas and pool table. A lounge with ping pong table and a great well equipped large kitchen and free BBQs. There is a small pool and the beach is only 10 mins walk. Would recommend.

Dear Bexy,

Thank you for your positive review. I'm glad to hear that you had a relaxing time at Surfpoint. The property has been under new ownership for 9 months and the new managers have been working hard to create a comfortable, relaxing, and family friendly environment.

We hope to see you back in Margaret River soon.

Just spent two nights at Surfpoint Resort, for the Gourmet Escape weekend. Very impressed. Used to be a back-packers, definitely not now. New owners. Very pretty gardens. Welcoming and helpful staff. Clean rooms with new tv and fridge. Large communal kitchen if you feel like cooking or using the bbq facilities; swimming pool, pool table, separate communal TV room. Plenty of parking. Restaurant 100 meters away. Highly recommended.

This is more suitable for the younger of us but we gave it a go. We were made to feel very welcome by the young management team. We even met their new puppy, very soft!

The rooms are functional but clean, the communal area is welcoming and the kitchen well stock if you want to cook a dinner for yourself. Would return

Well ive stayed here last month and returned again this month, very reasonably priced and located in a quiet spot, I have stayed in a queen room and the king rooms and would highly recommend. The rooms are to a high standard and very clean and the rooms have recently been fitted with new tvs on the wall and re-decorated. All the communual areas are clean and tidy and if you need anything managment are always around or a 2 minute walk away if out of hours. Both very friendly and chatty. The washing facilities are all new so actually clean your clothes unlike some other out dated over used facilities ive came across else where. Theres a bar a 2 min stroll away and the beach a short walk also. Overall i would highly recommend it. I seen the previous comments and I can only say the issues that have been mentioned must be from the previous owners as I have not had a single problem and will be here again next month.

I had the pleasure of staying here in May/June this year and will be back for sure! The rooms were clean, quiet and cosy. The industrial sized shared kitchen was always tidy and had heaps of space in the large fridges to store all your food. The dining room was relaxing with the log fire and plenty of supplies to make hot drinks. The lounge was great with the big television and Foxtel to watch those WCT surfing events to get you psyched for the next session. It also has a quality laundry and lines for hanging your clothes and wettie. This place has world class waves at your doorstep, and the owners Ben and Ali are the most helpful and friendly people you could wish to meet and have as hosts. They can book all your holiday needs; including the all important vineyard and beer tours! The best value for money in Margaret River! Leeroy, Tas.

Room Tip: Spring and autumn are quieter months in the surf and you may be lucky enough to score a room for you...
