“Awesome experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

With two kids under 7, this was the best part of a great trip to Margaret River. The kids got to feed all the animals, hold and pet kangaroos, play with the Border Collies, take tractor rides and ride a horse. On a side note, just before dusk we could see a bunch of wild kangaroos in the hills behind the farm.

The accommodation were roomy, clean and comfortable for a farm stay.

Close to the wineries, restaurants, and the town of Margaret River.

Room Tip: The West Unit faces the playground and has a nice covered porch. You can sit outside, relax and kee...

7 adults staying 2 nights worked out to less than $100 each I think, clean and great views when sitting outside in the evening, animals were an added bonus and I can see that for families with children they would love it!

I stayed here with my family at the height of summer but the place was surprisingly cool and we also luckily managed to avoid the heatwave. The unit was well-furnished with a reverse cycle air-con. The unit was quite cozy and large; the bathroom was clean. We had a great time at the animal farm especially; there were quite a variety of animals with lots of cute little young ones too. Most of the animals are well-behaved and very eager to be fed. Sometimes the joey and sheep dogs will visit our unit as well! The owner is very kind and hospitable. The location is very convenient as well; it was near to the town of Margaret River and a number of wineries and chocolate factories as well.
My only qualm was that the tap water was faintly yellow so I bought drinking water instead. But overall it was a great experience for our first trip down to the Margaret River region and will definitely be looking to stay here again in our next trip there.

What an amazing place to stay, the kids had a ball! We could sit back & enjoy a wine while they played with all the animals! It was like having a babysitter in your backyard. Highly recommend for anyone who has kids, it was in the perfect location, close enough to town yet very peaceful! Our little units have everything you needed! Looking forward to going back there again!

We had an absolute ball at Sunflowers!! Myself and my 3 children aged 14, 13 & 10 absolutely loved the 3 border collies, Dizzy, Chilli and Lilli to bits and they would come to our cabin and visit. We also got visited by gorgeous joeys Celeste and Lisa who were just adorable. When we weren't going out, the kids spent all their time on the farm with the animals and absolutely loved it, they want to go back again and again. My 13 year old witnessed the birth of a baby goat and then got to name him :) All in all a very happy and enjoyable trip!!

This was a great family experience for us, our little boy was up at 6am running to the farm to see the animals, he loved the feeding and playing with the owners' kids and the other children that were visiting. The owners are lovely people that provide a very good service with a wide variety of DVDs to select from, a coffee shop on the location and a lot of information on the area in your room. If you are looking for a farm stay in Margaret river this is the place to be! We will be back again and again!

Room Tip: Rooms are what you would expect from a farm stay, not high lux but with all the necessary amenities...
