“Just Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

We have just returned from the best family holiday we've ever had! Thank you so much to Lisa and Vinnie (and Roxy & Dextor the dogs) for an amazing three days. We really wish we could have stayed longer. Waking up to find a Peacock at the bedroom window, 2 emu's outside the lounge window plus a few Angus Cows out of the kitchen window might sound odd but it was brilliant! Both our girls (aged 11 & 3) adored playing with Roxy and Dexter the dogs and of course feeding all the animals with Vinnie. Apart from the great time on the farm, the location was excellent. Just a quick drive into Margaret River and all the wineries etc in the region. Lisa gave us lots of information on trips and we even got a 10% discount on the whale watching tour, which we would HIGHLY recommend. This was a holiday that none of us will forget in a hurry. Thanks so much. We will recommend you to all our friends and family :-)

Room Tip: We stayed in a Superior cottage and it was just gorgeous. Everything you could ask for.

Please accept my very warm thanks for your delightful comments in respect of our managers and their able assistants (Roxie & Dexter).
Congratulations, also, for undertaking the whale-watching from Augusta which, as you've commented, a truly unforgettable experience. The 10% discount that we're able to offer is an exclusive offer and I'm pleased you were able to benefit from it.
Please, come again as we love sharing the joy!

We just returned from a week's stay here and it was superb! It's clear the owners love what they do, there's an energy to this place that is warm and delightful. The chalets are clean, well maintained and well thought out. We had everything we needed...even the first mornings breakfast. My two year old LOVED being here - as did we. The animals on the farm are so well taken care of and for the most part tolerant of little kids running around that I didn't have to hold him back too much from getting in amongst it all. Seeing him feed cows, pat chickens, play with the two gorgeous dogs and chase sheep was priceless. We will definitely be back!

Thank you Denise for all your kind comments.
We're very much aware that if we're able to keep the children happy, the parents can relax and enjoy themselves also.
We very much look forward to your return.

My family stayed for 4 days 3 nights in their 3 bedroom cottage. It was winter and we drove through the night and reached their place at around 11pm. Vinne and Lisa was there to receive us. We were glad to see them. They were very thoughtful, they even lighted up the fireplace. In the morning the animals were roamed freely. The cottage was well equipped and maintained. It is well located. As the cottage is kept warm by the fireplace so morning will experience coldness.

I would strongly recommend against driving down to Margaret River at night and suggest that, next time, you stay overnight in Perth before setting out.
In any event, I'm pleased you arrived safely and that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us.
Relaxing with a warm fire and a glass of wine is very much part of the Margaret River winter experience and we look forward to you enjoying more of it in the years to come.

Stayed 2 nights at cottage 6 . Pictures seen on the website seem to show a bigger place than the actual cottage itself . But nevertheless , it was still enjoyable . Very peaceful and the animal feeding was fun seeing all the animals following Vinne looking for food. Kids had a great time interacting w the animals
Besides that , nothing much to do , but as it is near town we wander off to visit some of the attractions on the region . .

Thank you for your comments.
We aim to provide comfortable accommodation in a tranquil environment, to enable visitors to put aside their every-day pressures. The farm is a great environment for relaxation and there are a host of things that our visitors can experience, within easy driving distance.
Just one is whale-watching off Augusta from June to September.
Next time you visit, you should stay longer and get out and about.

Stayed 4 nights in hideaway standard cottage. Excellent experience staying there.

The cottage is cosy and well equipped. We cooked and bbq there for 2 nights and the feeling is wonderful especially for city dwellers.

Would highly recommend this if you are exploring Margaret River. However, would get the superior cottage the next time round as sharing a single toilet is not too convenient.

Thanks Dennis. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your Australian experience, including BBQs on the verandah.
Margaret River has a host of delightful experiences for visitors and we're seeing more and more Singaporeans as word gets around about our delightful farm stay.

We had a huge posse and took up 4 of 7 cottages available. This is our second time and we still find it fantastic! The environment is safe and easy to move around and the children could freely play in the open grass areas with the animals that move around freely in the compound. Very thoughtful of the farm to provide a hamper of breakfast items that include bread, milk, cereal, eggs and OJ. A fully equipped kitchenette makes it easy to prepare meals for the family. For us city dwellers from a tropical country, the fireplace, complete with DIY woodfire was quite a novelty! Thank you Lisa and Vinnie!

Thank you Mrs Choy for your kind comments and for returning with such a "posse." Our objective is to provide an improving farm and accommodation experience in a safe and peaceful environment. Judging from your comments, we're achieving our goals.

Its a too short 3 days 2 night stay in the 2 bedrooms cottage. We enjoyed ourselves having animals as our neighbours and within the charm of quiet countryside. Wineries and restaurants are easily accessible. Cottage is clean and equipped for cooking. Lisa and Vinnie are great hosts! We are already planning for next visit!

You're right that 2 nights is too short a time to experience Margaret River's delights. Fortunately, word seems to be getting around in Singapore that you need to book early and stay upward of 4 nights, to get full value.
We look forward to your return and thank you for taking the time to comment.
