“Lovely room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

Chose after reading ratings and close proximity to Flagstaff Hill. Was offered premium spa suite for same price as premier suite and "wow" it was great. Huge attic room with table and couch. Bed very comfy and bathroom with great corner spa and separate shower. Extremely clean, plenty of towels. Mini bar and restaurant on site. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at this motel purely for our best western points. As we really just needed the room, not being here long, we opted for the $99 budget room. As I stay in motels on a far too often basis, I was actually impressed. Raj made us feel very welcome. The room was roomy enough very clean the bed comfortable, the shower was very good also with good pressure. Would certainly recommend

My husband and I spent 3 nights 4 days in Warrnambool, we got a pretty good deal for this hotel. Great location, right opposite flagstaff hill maritime village. short walk to pertobe lake and salt water bistro at the RSL. central to main town centre. Hotel room was comfortable for 2 people however had a queen bed and a single. a small table and 3 chairs, bed was comfortable, shower was a little closed in for us. ample parking available. appeared to very popular was pretty full every night. rooms were cleaned daily. reverse cycle heating/cooling in room. carpet on floor,
block out drapes. very clean inside and out. staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: harbour suites are available

Room sizes run large, kitchenette is a tad dated. Bathroom needs improvement showing more than just wear and tear marks. Was Clean and comfy. Aircon was struggling to keep large space warm, due to high ceilings and old fire place. Had old world charm and character. Would stay again for the price and location.

Quiet room, cosy, clean, great shower. Lovely clean linen. Walking distance from the railway station. It was pouring with rain when we checked out and they offered to drive us to the station! Great location, near main street, beach and information centre.

We were driving the Great Ocean Road and found this hotel advertised in tourist information offices. It had a great picture of a renovated room complete with spa bath. We booked it and it was as good as the picture presented it. After a long drive in the car, the opportunity of a hot, relaxing spa bath was too good to pass up so on with the taps and when there was some water in the bath, turn on the spa jets - big mistake ! Either the last user, or cleaning staff, had left EVERY adjustable jet pointing towards the ceiling. The ensuing flood did dampen spirits a bit but after some mopping the spa was duly put to good use - along with a very good bottle of NZ wine.
Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful.
Would happily stay again - but I'd check the spa jets first !

This is in a great location, just across the road from the visitor information centre and Old Maritime Village. It is quiet and very clean. It is an older style hotel but still was very comfortable. We used it as our base for whale watching. It has a nice bar and restaurant attached and serves nice cold beer on tap in front of a large open fire place, very relaxing.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor room as the stairs are a bit narrow when carrying luggage
