Overall we were very pleased with our week long stay at the Gateway Motor Inn.
The rooms were spotless & well equipped, especially the Disabled Room...great bathroom with rails, no shower hob & plenty of room for a wheelchair.
The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them...thanks girls.
The meals were simple but well cooked & our group enjoyed them.
The only issue was the lack of little "extras"...our group have intellectual disabilities & as such don't have too many demands.
However they were disappointed about there being no bikkies in their rooms to enjoy their cuppas with.
The drinks were also hugely overpriced on our first night, until the tour director spoke to Brendan, the owner, who dropped them back to a reasonable rate for the rest of our stay.
We were supposed to have 2 main meal choices every night, but this was dropped to one main meal on the menu, with notification just a couple of days before we arrived.
Brendan was friendly, but not there very often.
The the 3 main staff members that did the cleaning & cooking were really great with the group, & really went above & beyond to make sure we were all happy & comfortable.
They are a real credit to the motel & made the difference between an average stay & the good time that we had.
I would recommend the Gateway Motor Inn for coach groups, however an eye would need to be kept on the incidental costs.
Rooms at the back are close to the railway line, so get a bit of train noise.
