Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas night in lovely accommodation. My room overlooked the garden and private lake. Four of the local ducks tapped on my window for breakfast. Rabbits and birds all round very countryfied - The room was comfortable with Queen bed, sofa, table and chairs. Good cupboard space and good sized bathroom. Fridge and microwave oven, toaster, kettle, hairdryer and goodies supplied in bathroom each day. There was a flywire door from the room to the garden which could be locked from the outside. All the rooms look out over the lake. There is a swimming pool with BBQ facilities.
Adjoining the premises is a lovely garden area with a walk round a lake. I believe there is a small train that runs alongside the gardens for tourists (not operating whilst I was there). The Motel is a little out of Shepparton but easy to find on the way from Melbourne.
I arrived early and did not expect to be able to have the room till 2pm but they accommodated me on arrival at 10am.
