5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

I stayed for two nights early Feb 2014, after being very disappointed upon arrival at my initial accommodation. Thinking my weekend of a relaxing couple of days was going to be spoilt by poor standard accommodation, I hit the internet. As luck would have it I clicked on the Lazy Acre Log Cabins and noticed the special rate. After a quick visit to check it out I was hooked, and very happy with the outcome. I couldn't have found a more perfect setting. The cabin was lovely, very clean and very comfortable. Walking distance to the footbridge, beach, shops, restaurants etc. The location is quiet and peaceful, lovely barbeque, pool and hut tub areas. The owner Helen, couldn't have been more helpful, even offering to allow me to stay as late as I liked on my checkout day. I will be spreading the word and definitely will stay here again.

We stayed in December 2013 just before the school holidays started so it was nice and quiet. My family and I had two cabins - one with 2 bedrooms and the other was the big one with 3 bedrooms. The 3 bedroom cabin was just excellent. One bedroom with two sets of bunks, one bedroom with a queen and the other with two singles. Lots of cupboard space in each room. Nice colourful sheets and blackout curtains. It had a very personal touch. The 3 bedroom cabin had an excellent, functional kitchen, a very large lounge with seating for at least 10 people. It also had an extra toilet which was great with so many of us. The only downside was the size of the shower - very small but there was a little 'shub' which the kids had a bath in. Other than that, we found the manager/owner wonderfully helpful, the playground was really good for the kids and the manager gave us cabins opposite each other. The kids were able to run back and forth safely. The area was quiet and convenient - 10 minutes to the foot bridge and great cafes. Foodworks just down the road which was reasonably large. All in all, we were very happy with everything. Except the excessively loud galas, flying over at 6am. I'm sure we were under some sort of a birdy flight path....lol.

Room Tip: The 3 bedroom cabin is very spacious and comfortable.

We stayed for one night. The lady that owns the place was lovely. She gave us tips and advice on where to eat. The cabins were as advertised. Yes, some of the furniture was a bit dated, but that didn't matter to us.Our cabin was right next to the swings which suited us with kids. It's not too far from the main strip where all of the restaurants are if you want to walk to dinner. We were offered a late checkout at no charge which was great.

Room Tip: The place is not very big, so there isn't much difference between the cabins. The childrens play...

The cabins are roomy and family friendly. Short walk to lake, beach and town. You even got your own washing machine and clothes line. Cuts out laundry costs. Quiet spot as there are only about seven cabins. Management super friendly and helpful.

Hi All,

We visited Log Cabins in April. What could I say....the atmosphere...the cleanliness, the coziness, the host etc. etc. etc....Such a great experience that we can never forget...We felt welcomed the moment we entered the premises...We felt like home away from home...If you want to live close to nature and still next to Lakes Entrance Shopping area and the beach...this is the place for you...

If you are after hotel kind of accomodation...this is not for you...If you want something refreshing, beautiful surroundings, close to everything...you must consider this. I reckon, it worth giving a go...even for a day...Thanks a lot to the host for making us feel so welcomed. We will surely visit again...

Room Tip: Ask for a Fire Place Cabin or Last Cabins.

We stayed here over the school holidays and were pleasantly surprised. Not only was it conviently located but the hostess offered lots of valuable advice from fishing hot spots to dinner venues. We found the accommodation spacious with all the necessities of home and above all immaculate in presentation. We look forward to coming back!
