“Surprised, small park but with park owners excellent guidance able to park large van”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Thanks to the friendly helpful owners able to park our large van easily in park effortlessly, the owner assist all vans onto sites. The sites were well maintained, concrete pad and each site had own clothesline. The amenities were spotless, cleaned regularly. We stayed at park for 6 days, site was close to amenities and 2 undercover BBQ area which were well maintained, a very quiet park when we stayed there close to shopping, fast food outlets, and walking distance to clubs etc. Very enjoyable stay, owners assisted us out of site as well and nothing was any problem to them explaining local attractions and directions. Thanks for our enjoyable stay

This is a disgrace to the lakes entrance comunity , and for tourists visiting there and a bad reflection on Australian people, as the owners of this park are very very rude to there customers , they have a dog that looks to dangerous to be around children, there are also too many restrictions on children, no running, no jumping, no bikes ( yet the owners ride around on theirs ) no skate boards, no ball games and lots lots more , they forgot to add NO FUN ... although some upset child actually wrote that on the notice board .. Lol .
Anyway I this year over new years most places are already booked out so decided to ring silver sands park again .....now I wish I had not .. The Lady owner was very very rude , and not at all helpful at all , you will find out for your self if you decide to ring ...if you get the same treatment PLEASE leave a review to warn others , especially our tourists coming to Australia

Only needed a bed for one night passing through...hired a ES cabin...the park is well maintained and the cabins really clean...I am a bit fussy with cleanliness and could tell from the moment I stepped through the door that this would not be a problem...everything inside was well planned and well maintained and had a very comfortable bed...walking distance to the bridge, shops and clubs and fresh seafood straight from the trawlers Yum Yum...highly recommended for a one night stay or holiday with family...will definatly stay here next time we are in the area

Nice place to stay.
Only a small park but very well run by two lovely folk. Robyn welcomed us in and we felt wanted which is always plus.
We just rented a park cabin and wanted to catch up for 3 nights as we badly needed a break from travelling and needed to do some washing and see the area around the Lakes.

Our cabin while small was functional and cosy. Had everything we needed and a few things more. Just like a medium sized caravan but it also had 3 bunk beds (which ,of course we didn't need) but used them to stow all our bags and gear on.

This park is located a very short walking distance from the main foot bridge over to the surf beach and conveniently across the road from an IGA and bottle shop. Next door are several food outlets, Pizza, Curry & Fish n Chips.
It is a bit further up the road to the bigger shopping centre but only minutes by car.
You can walk up to the much celebrated Bowling Club for a meal and pokies but we found our night there disappointing. We had a bad experience with our meal but that is for others to decide upon. Nothing to do with the Park.

If reading this review in order to decide where to stay, all we can say is that we had a cabin for two older travellers and we were well satisfied with the standard of cleanliness and facilities.

Nice couple running the park.
Would stay again.

We have stayed in this park many many times on our way to Melbourne and back. We tow a 21ft Windsor Royale caravan named "Elizabeth". Our first stop after purchasing "Elizabeth" in Melbourne was in this park and Leszek got his first lesson in reverse parking in this park. Every time we have stayed we have been helped with parking. The park is small, near the Police Station, quiet, and across the road from the shopping centre. Facilities are spotless, entered by code numbers and BBQ facilities are under cover, clean and very well maintained. We have also stayed in the cabins which were spotless and had everything we required for our short stay. The owners are polite, helpful and do everything to make your stay wonderful. The swimming pool is small but clean. A nice touch is that every caravan spot has its own clothes line. I loved that. We will be heading south again as soon as it warms up and will stay in this Park, but for longer. There is much to see in Lakes Entrance.

Room Tip: This a small park so a forward booking is recommended. Top Tourist discount is helpful

We drove around Lake Entrance looking for a nice caravan park to stay for a couple of nights. Many parks were small and appeared to need heaps of maintenance work. We found the Silver Sands Tourist Park and booked in for 2 nights. The park is well laid out and management assist in reversing our van onto our site. The sites are all located around a well presented and vary clean amenities block. As it is winter the amenities block is heated what a great touch. There are 2 BBQ areas with seating and lighting, pool is closed during winter. The park has no permanent sites and is set up for tourists. It has a number of well maintained cabins as well as caravan sites. The park is located centrally to shops and is within a short walk to 2 of the nearby clubs. The park is operated by the owner and is a member of the Top Tourist Parks.
A great place to stay in Lakes Entrance, good value for money, highly recommended.
