“Best value for money tour in Lakes Entrance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Sea-Safari eco-tours runs from Post office jetty, right opposite Australia Post on the main road thru Lakes. It's off to the side of Peels tours at the start of the jetty. There is no ticket office, so look for the boat and notice board. If the captain isn't by the boat, call his mobile. Each tour is limited to 10 people, so it is much more relaxed than the bigger more expensive tours. We took the afternoon tour on a Sunday, which departed at 2:30pm. Times vary, so check with the captain on the day, to check your departure time. Tours cost $15/10/5 adult/concession/children.
Our tour went past the fishing port, industrial port, into the entrance itself, past Rigby Island, into the North Arm and returned back to the jetty after passing by the foot bridge to main beach. The Captains knowledge of Lakes entrance is second to none, not to mention that of the birds and sealife, what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing. Great commentary mixed with the odd joke, makes for an enjoyable trip. The tour lasts for between 1 & 1.25 hours, and covers the highlights of Lakes Entrance, without being too long. The other tour companies tour go for 3 hours, and we all know what happened to Gilligan on his 3 hour tour.
By far the best tour in Lakes Entrance and the best value for money attraction. Educational and entertaining.
