“Emmy Lou paddle steamer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

We decided to do the mid week luncheon on the Emmy Lou
The trip was 2hrs and the meal was was very pleasant one course, two were available for extra $
The staff were very attentive
It was very relaxing meandering along the Murry river
We were very fortunate that the day was perfect
The paddle steamer is under cover and the dinning area has the better seating
The price with lunch was about $100 and NO discount for seniors
The port is what Echuca is famous for ,so it was a lovely day

“A must do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

We booked an afternoon cruise on the Alexander Arbuthnot. A genuine old paddlesteamer – the real deal. I note that whilst the PS Emmylou is very pretty it is a modern ship. Not that that probably makes much difference to most people.

We were first on so got pride of place seats up top under the Captain’s window. Initially it took ages for the ship to leave the wharf as it kept getting stuck in the mud and I thought we’d all have to get off and go home, but eventually we got underway.

The Murray is big and brown and an afternoon cruise in the sun was lovely. You just go up river a ways and then back and it takes about an hour.

“Paddle boat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Try not to go on week-ends, is very busy. The bridge between Moama and Echuca, is a bottle neck on Sundays due to the farmers market being held.

“Old fashioned good time”

Wonderful to go back in time and travel down the great Murray to the rythmic sounds of the steamer engine. Enjoyed the whole family including the teenagers. Take a jumper if not summer.

“Fun”

We took the kids on the marylou paddlesteamer and they loved it. It was a great hour trip a little pricy but we'd never been on one before so it was ok.
