“Relaxing and cosy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Right in the city close to everything, we didn't want for anything and it was quiet and very well maintained by the owners. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely experience over two nights 5-6 April.

Room Tip: Newton Suite, no complaints

Consistent with other travellers' reviews - this place is a gem! House is beautiful with great decor, hosts are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is good! Will recommend it to anyone who wish to make Launceston their base to visit the surrounding Tamar Valley!

I stayed 3 night here with my husband for our 12 year anniversary. We lived in the Emily Room, all facilities here were clean and tidy, provided a peacefull environment for our stay of enjoyment in Launceston.

Especially thanks Julie for the arrangement of breakfast time to share with others visitors from different countries, we enjoy it so much!

For a touch of luxury at an affordable price stay here. Previous comments have said it all. We have stayed here four times now - a great place to start and end your trip to Tassie. Hostess Julie is delightful and bubbly and Graham cooks a great breakfast. They welcome everyone to their wonderful home as you would old friends.

Stayed at Kurrajong House last month (March 2013). Lovely old home, immaculately maintained and a joy to visit. We splurged and stayed in the Adelaide Room inside the house.
Our hosts were very helpful and understanding (we both had colds and were not at our best) provided us with useful maps and places to eat etc.
Our room was perfect. Bed wonderfully comfortable and we had the best sleep of all the places we stayed in over our 2 weeks in Tassie.
Lovely breakfast as well. There really is no negative to staying at KH!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Adelaide room inside the house. Perfect.

Kurrajong House is placed upon a hill in a period bungalow that has been tastefully and faithfully restored to its original architectural style and status of a century ago. Its position for visiting Launceston is very convenient by either car or on foot. For energetic guests, the walk is embracing, particularly on the return journey up through the English Elms that line the path planted about the same time as the houses. (A bonus for British travellers who still mourn the loss of our indigenous Elms).

Kurrajong House is the perfect spot to visit the Tamar River and North East of Tasmania. Yes this B&B is perfect.

Room Tip: All excellent rooms

What a wonderful place to stay. Close to shops and bars. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly maintained. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Great breakfast! Highly recommended for a perfect Launceston stay!
