We stayed here for 3 days in tiny chalet that had everything we could have needed.
It felt really cosy, not too small. The design of the room was fantastic and the electric blanket was really nice along with a very effective air conditioner.
The shower head on the otherhand was like being stuck with hundreds of pins every time we showered, not ideal to enjoy a long shower!
The resort was really lovely, the resturant served good meals and an average breakfast but it was the activities and general quality of the pool, sauna and shops that made a very enjoyable stay.
If you have kids then, from the happy faces on those around when we were there on what was a cold and wet period, they'll love the jump pillow, put-put,duck feeding, tennis, golf, gym etc.
DONT EXPECT TO GET A PHONE RECEPTION UNLESS YOUR WITH TELSTRA IN THE RESORT,but you can nearby if you really have to check.

Staff friendly and helpful.
Had to get an upgrade (pay more money) as room booked (villa) far too small and inadequate for myself, my husband and teenage son.
Stayed in apartment that was large with very poor bathroom, no washing machine - hole where it used to be, and the narrowest toilet (room) ever!
No internet access except in the hotel and restaurant.
Restaurant food was nice.
In out of the way place compared to Launceston itself.

It's not all that bad as reviewed, but remember to book the newer boutique studio chalet

You definitely need a car to drive to this resort, and it's actually a good 5-min drive after you turned off the Tamar Highway. My GPS did not accurately point out the location but I drove on. The resort is rather unique, and my wife booked the newer boutique studio chalet, as pointed in another review. The room is new, and the interior design rather funky. Not bad at all. But our studio is attached to a bigger chalet, which looked as though we were staying in the garage of a bigger chalet :P The downside is that there was only one car park space which is right on front of our studio chalet. We came back late in the evening, and the spot was already taken by our neighbor. No worries, I parked the car on the road side. Pretty good value, especially if you are in Launceston to go to the vineyards. We went to the Tamar Valley Vineyard which is a short 15-20 minutes drive away. There is absolutely no point staying in downtown Launceston if all you want is to go do some wine tasting at the vineyards.

This hotel complex is situated in a wonderful spot in the Tamar Valley north of Launceston, and has the novelty of being like a Swiss village. We stayed in a brand new king size spa villa which certainly was new and sparkling but had a few serious problems. If you like to sleep in the dark, don't go there! Each little villa is lit up like a Christmas tree n the outside with lights on 4 sides which cannot be turned off. The slat blinds do not fit well and the light shines in brightly. In addition, the heater sounds like a tornado - too loud to sleep - and is not easily controlled. The description says twice that there is fast broadband - there is not and no plan to get it in the villas. As I was on a part working holiday this was essential, and it was very inconvenient to have to drive up to the main hotel building to log on, and then be asked how long I would be there! No-one was very interested in these shortcomings and all blamed them on a distant owner. The person who attended the desk in the evenings was brisk and rude and offered no help with these issues. It is disappointing that such a lovely place cannot do better than this.

My husband, myself and seven year old son stayed here for our first night in Tasmania. I booked after looking at their website which makes the place sound really nice and I was attracted by the extra activities, ie. jumping pillow, mini-golf etc. No where on the website was it mentioned that these activities were all additional cost (and very expensive at that). I was also interested as the hotel has a gym - the gym had one treadmill that was broken, one bike that broken and some weight stuff that was being used - might have well have nothing. Our impression of the place is that their target market is conference business and not family travellers. The website quoted the usual price of our room at $289.00 (I paid $129.00), after staying there I would estimate that the room is worth about $100.00 at best. The hotel is situated on a hill, very windy and cold and not within walking disctance of anything. We decided to have a BBQ dinner and when I asked the lady at reception if I could access some plates etc, she had no idea so I ended up getting what I needed at Woolworths!. There was no mobile reception and I had to make an urgent business call and the same lady informed me that there was a public phone near the restaurant but she didn't think it was working, internet access is $20.00 per day. Of all the accomodation I booked in Tasmania this was by far the most dissappointing. The room was upstairs and the hotel has no lift so get used to lugging stuff up the stairs. I think the name is misleading it not a resort style hotel by any means, basic motel accomodation, in an older style, aging motel complex.
