“Great for hiking, walking and being with nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Was there on weekday in winter. So there were not that many people, which was great.
started from lower basin and took the zig-zag hike trail, to kings bridge, to cataract walk to swing bridge and back to entrance at base of chair lift (which may not be worth it if you have reasonable level of fitness).
Wear comfy shoes. With a slow walk and rests, it took total of 120 minutes.

“Fantastic place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Kiosk, cafe, chair lift, walking trails, pool. This place has the lot, along with fantastic views.

We spent a lovely, relaxing afternoon with our kids wandering around the tracks, and crossing the suspension bridge. A highlight was the chairlift ride.

Well recommended for a break from the city.

“What a great walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

A must visit if visiting Launceston.
The walk is relaxing, historic, and beautiful.
Peacocks and wallabies all around.
The chain ride across the gorge is not worth the price.

“Third time here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Liked the new rack railway to get back up to the car park. Our first visit as in 1974, and not a lot has changed. A very pleasant place to visit even in June, good coffee and service in the cafe.
