“A little piece of paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We stayed at ecoRidge Hideway only for one night but wished it could have been longer. This is a gem of a property, lovingly created by amazing hosts, Greg & Sylvie. This is the perfect 'getaway' from the rat race of city life - scenery to die for, walking tracks, tranquility, attention to detail. This is the perfect place to chill out and enjoy the spectacular views and quality surrounds. If you want to explore there is plenty to see within a short driving distance. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful.

We had booked 4 nights at the Bushland Chalet, but decided to leave after 2 nights. Why? Not because there was anything wrong with the chalet, Sylvie and Greg were great, and the chalet was spotless, elegant and with a fantastic view. But for us, being really city folks, we watched the view, and we watched the view, and that was about all we could do. We felt trapped, being located on the edge of the escarpment, nowhere to go, nothing to do except watching the birds (And we are not birdwatchers, could identify the galah's and the Kookaburra's though, but we have those at home in Brisbane as well), and the option of driving 40K to have lunch at Rudd's Pub, or visiting the Preston Peak Winery for lunch platter on Wednesday and onwards - yes, we are wine lovers and collectors, but prefer the wider range of Darling Downs Wineries when they have a festival. So for us - no return, but for anyone who will be fascinated by being in the middle of nowhere with breathtaking views and content with your own company, the place is highly recommended!

Thanks Sylvie & Greg for the pleasure of staying with you on our way home from our trip to Cairns. We stayed overnight in the Bushland Chalet and found everything about the place way above our expectations. The Linen, towels etc were first class. All your IKEA appointments are lovely.
The open fire was just the thing and the valley views superb.
We even liked the little touches ,quality toiletries (better than most six star properties) and the chocolates on the bed on arrival.
Your warm welcome was great and we would recommend your property without reservation to anyone travelling in the area.

Best Wishes
Peter & Trish McNeil

Room Tip: Take a good bottle of Red Wine to enjoy by the fire

We stayed in the Iron Bark chalet for 4 nights, The chalet was lovely and clean with quality linen and guest amenities, awesome views, Love the fire especially on the cooler nights, The bush walk on the property was a real workout but the view was well worth it. Its a very quiet and peaceful place but still close enough to Toowoomba we will be back.

We stayed in the slightly larger 'Bushland' chalet, and it was just perfect. The peace and quiet, the views, the log fire, the sunrise and the many birds made it a very special two nights. The chalet was spotless and very comfortable. Seeing the large moon these last two nights was a real bonus. Thank you Greg and Sylvie.

Terrific place for a break away from Brisbane city life. Elegant and well appointed chalets with superb picture perfect views. Simple and refined decor - comfortable and complete with everything you need. So clean and easy. The fireplace was superb and we look forward to coming back for a cosy winter stay.
If coming from Brisbane, take the trip via Flagstone Creek Rd...very pretty transition from city to country.

Room Tip: They all look excellent!
