Stayed here for a children's sports carnival during July.
Room was average. Not overly clean, very dusty and smelt of smoke. We could hear everything in the room next door - yelling at the kids their tv, when they flushed the toilet etc. This was off putting especially when I tried to get my young children to bed early at night.
Did not really fulfil the brief - 2 bed. As it was one long room divided by a bathroom, with no doors marking out set rooms.
One the plus staff were friendly and it was close to the big shopping centre. We did not find the rooms overly noisy, but we had to carry all of our luggage up 2 flights of stairs.

Really enjoyed our night there, vey cosy and clean...nice friendly staff and fast check in to recieve our key to our room. We booked the romantic room package which was nice, just one recommendation is that if its a romantic room package the room could be set up all romantic looking to set the mood as couples walk in, instead of looking like a standard room. But overall would definately recommend the motel to other people, very central to shops and main city centre.

The room was clean, spacious and well looked after. The beds were comfortable. I was unable to sleep the first night due to drunken shouting guests, however this improved on the second night. My Telstra and Optus data connections were very poor which is a pity as it made it hard to work in my room. Breakfast only starts at 7 which is a bit tight when you need to get to a work appointment and costs a lot in comparison to something like Sizzler. You have to order your items, and so this increases your wait time. It would be good if you could help yourself to help improve waiting times. A great place to stay if you have a car, but I might look at other options in the future. Great staff :-)

Stayed there this month to save the company some money., First little Motel that has asked to photocopy my Drivers Licence rather than take a print of my C/C. Maybe they have a lot of bad Credit cards.

There were a few bikies staying there the night I stayed. They weren't too loud till they left early in the morning on their Harleys.

The Motel looks great on the Outside nice and new and refurbished but the room I stayed in was pretty dated but clean, It was your your usueal typical hotel style room.

Staff were friendly enough. I had to tell them about someone switching the Shampoo and conditioner bottles. They fixed botlles on the wall with Soap Shampoo and Conditioner.

It is sort of in the middle of nowhere surrounded by other hotels. Open my curtains and see straight into the back of the hotel kitchen next door..

It was ok.

Room Tip: Select a room down the back to get away from the Road.

My second stay at this motel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms comfortable but a bit dated. My heater didn't work. The restaurant is pricey although the food is at a good standard. Free drink on arrival a nice touch. Prices are right up with and above what I usually pay in A Capitol city guess this is the mining town effect. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Mackay so don't have anything to compare with. In summary I would stay again.

Stayed there on a Sunday night . Reasonably priced compared with weekdays. Guess I just can't get used to "coalfields" prices
Room was small but clean & newly refurbished. Staff pleasant. Very convenient location to airport & city.
Would stay there again.

if you are looking for a clean easily accessible stop over on your way further North or South then this place works well. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay due to it's need for a refurb and the fact it is on the highway through town. There is also not much within walking distance in terms of places to get a meal.
The rooms are a good size and clean but as per above need an update, bed linen and pillows are tired and need replacing. The staff were friendly and efficient however the bar/restaurant area shuts very early and i only saw one couple actually eat there.
We caught a cab into town for a meal.
As per some other reviews it is pricey for what you get but that is more about Mackay than this motel.
I would stay again if just looking for a place to pull in for a sleep.
