If you are thinking on trying the Gold Coast Dinner Cruise you may think twice after reading my review. My partner and I paid $140 for the Seafood Buffet and a cruise around Surfers coastline (time about 3 hours). After being seated at our table all good so far. We were then offered a choice of three drink packages ranging from the silver to the platinum where you could have as much beer, wine and spirits as you could consume all night for a further $40 PP.
Our waiter was not the nice young lady who seated us to our tables in fact it seemed there were only three waiters for around 80 - 100 people. We were totally invisible to this young guy (who never smiled once), and we had too ask for every drink at no time did he make sure our glasses and plate were refreshed. The worst service ever! The buffet was very poor to what the brochure had promised. The seafood was very second rate for example the oysters very small and the crab meat chewy. The roast ham was excellent however but I notice it was mixed with cheaper cuts of ham to bulk up the serving dishes. We complained about the fact of the way we had to ask for our drinks and then were promptly given a bill for the drinks at the end of the evening. Too say the least my partner was not very happy!
The attitude of the people running this cruise was was professional and they deal with complaints by ignoring them.
We even had too wait fifteen minutes before we were allowed to even leave the vessel after it docked for some obscure reason and were given no explanation as too why the long wait??
All over out of ten I have given this a 3/10. Overpriced and don't be fooled by the fantastic picture on the flyer advertisement.
The mark is for the entertainment which was reasonable.
PS. Make sure you take your own toilet roll.
