“Very noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

The rooms are well equipped and clean, the beds are comfortable, the service is good all of which is useless if you can sleep because of the road noise!!! If you are unlucky enough to get one of the rooms on the road side, there are absolutely no noise measures. You will hear the full force of every truck, bike, hoon and reversing beeper which uses the main road. You would think for $300 per night they would have at least used noise proof glass in the rooms!

I always stay here when in town. The rooms are always clean (but occasionally there is a mysterious smell) there are no elevators which can be painful when you have to lug suitcases upstairs. There is no restaurant attached so every meal has to be thought about in advance. There is a kitchenette though so cooking is doable. Parking is a real issue and now there is pay for parking which I think is a bit rich when the rooms are so expensive but after trying lots of different places in Gladstone I will continue booking with the Quest

If you need a place to stay for long-term or need more space than a normal hotel room, consider the Quest in Gladstone. We only wish they had covered parking.

Once inside the apartments, we remarked we could have lived here. Unfortunately, the nice rooms come with a high price. With all of the construction in Gladstone, all hotels have gone up price. At least the Quest offers a modern hotel for the price

My husband and 2 grown children stayed here for a 1 night stay in a ground floor, 2 bedroom unit. We found our unit tastefully decorated and lovely and clean.

On the downside, the lounge chairs looked great but were very uncomfortable. There was a lovely big full length window in the lounge, but it was spoiled by the outlook, which was a raised garden bed with no plants and full of weeds in front of a high fence for privacy. There is also no undercover parking.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2011

While in Gladstone, I chose these apartments as they were some of the only apartments in town that offered broadband access (for a fee). The apartments are located a short distance for the airport and are close to the main street on Gladstone. There is sufficient parking for guests but it is offered on a first come, first served basis. Upon check in, I was greeted by 2 very friendly staff who gave me lots of helpful information regarding the area. The room was clean and tidy except that the shower fawcet fell off the first time I used the shower. The rooms are very well kept and are reasonably quiet. The apartments are located close to the marina which is a lovely 20 minute walk away. During my stay, the apartments were having balcony dividers installed (for privacy from the street) therefore the rooms were not very plesant to be in during the day due to the drilling noise. The maid service was excellent and my room was very well looked after by the cleanng staff. The apartments are located minutes away from the main street and other shopping centres which is handy. Overall, a comfortable stay but the front desk should warn guests about the grilling noise upon check in.

Room Tip: ask for the ground floor as there are no lifts

Having travelled a fair bit around the world and stayed in many hotels, I find first impressions at the hotel can set the tone for the visit. Upon arriving at Quest, the receptionist was great. Extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel will certainly set a positive tone for your trip.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip - the staff were courteous and helpful, the property is modern and clean, the room is comfortable and has a fully equipped kitchen, which is great. A short walk (a couple of large blocks) to shops. Would stay here again.
