This restaurant is in the main street in Coolangatta. It is highly recognisable because it has the facade of a mediterranean whitewashed ruin. Appealingly retro and quirky. It is basically a nice Italian trattoria, so if you want haute cuisine or fine dining, then look elsewhere - however if you are looking for a friendly affordable place with food that both yourselves AND your children will enjoy, it is an excellent option. Inside the customer service is friendly, attentive and tolerant of children. I like that it seems to be run by authentic mediterraneans. The menu is a combination of seafood, steak, and mediterranean, including pasta and pizza - really something to suit all tastes, and the prices are very reasonable. We ate our dinner there several times during our week on the Gold Coast for this reason. From memory it is licenced, again with reasonable prices. I'd definitely return on future visits.
