“An enjoyable place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2011

I stayed at this resort recently with my partner. Check-in was friendly and efficient and our room was ready even though we arrived a little before the advertised check-in time of 2pm. Parking beneath the building was plentiful and secure.

We had a deluxe room on the second floor of the Ocean Tower overlooking the pool area. It appeared to have been recently refurbished and contained two double beds
and had a nice balcony with views to both the mountains and the ocean. There was also a bar fridge and microwave as well as cutlery plates etc. and tea/coffee making facilities. The milk and biscuits were a nice touch as were the toiletries in the bathroom.

Breakfast was included and it ticked all the boxes. There was plenty of variety with fresh fruit and cereal together with hot offerings of bacon and eggs sausages as well as make your own toast and coffee.

The resort is joined to Twin Towns Services club by an enclosed walkway which is very handy and convenient to walk to the club for a meal. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend the establishment as a great place to stay.

Courtesy recognition of the review. Your time to do so very much appreciated. We are thrilled with your comments as they clearly reflect the efforts of our team in delivering what we promise. It is amazing how much excitement is generated throughout the resort when staff circulates comments of this nature. An enjoyable place to stay is exactly what we set out to achieve. We look forward to welcoming you back.

We were due to to Cairns as part of our "Grand Tour" but unfortunately, Cyclone Yasi intervened. Virgin Blue gave us the choice of flying elswhere and we chose the Gold Coast. While rather rushed in trying to find accommodation, I have to say how very lucky we were to find Twin Towers. It was simply fantastic. The facilities provided have already been extensively covered in other posts which includes the evening entertainment and I would confirm that the nearby beaches were glorious and quiet (presumably as the school term had re-started). Similarly, there were many very good restaurants (we would really recommend the Indian Restaurant across the road...try the Mixed Pakora which includes Nile Perch..mmmm!). We found the staff on duty both pleasant and helpful. We even took time to visit Brisbane for the day (two-hour bus and train ride). My only criticism of the Twin Towns and local restaurants was that everything closed at 9.00pm, which we found rather strange since, as Europeans, we tend to eat late in the evening. Many thanks, Twin Towns for going some way to reducing the extreme disappointment of not seeing the Barrier Reef.

Adeje, Gothenburg, Barrow-in-Furness, Paris and Barcelona. We are humbled to be rated so highly in such company. We hope your ongoing world travel brings you back to stay with us again; whilst the Harbour Bridge Climb is certainly a tough experience to top, Cairns, Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef would not disappoint… see you on the way through. Many thanks for your comments.

Just got back from a weekend stay in a hotel room at the Outrigger twin towns. Had a good stay... but not a great one. Can't complain about the friendly staff, the signature restaurant buffet breakfast or the overall cleanliness of the hotel. however the facilities are starting to become a little dated.. and while the rooms were nice.. they were by no means 4.5 star. Having recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise (which is only rated 4 stars) i can see a big difference between the quality of the rooms on offer between the two establishments. Firstly, the patio furniture is old, cheap and dated. The TV's are still CRT. there is no in room entertainment (ie Austar, Movies etc), maid service is poor (there were room service plates sitting by the elevator for the whole of our stay), according to the welcome book everything comes at an additional fee (eg extra pillows, extra blankets, extra towels etc, ) and it just lacks the overall high quality finish you would expect from a 4.5 star establishment (whilst being more expensive than the 4 star Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise). Having said all this the facilities were by no means terrible and i understand that the hotel is undergoing upgrades... but until such times as these have been done i feel it is a bit misleading to suggest that this establishment is 4.5 stars.

A final word of caution..... i ordered takeaway pizza from the twin towns club (which is connected to the resort) $30 for two pizza's no bigger (or thicker) than a side plate (No exaggeration!) ..... Twin Towns club..... Don't waste your money!

This review is greatly appreciated and clearly represents a perception on a Full Service Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise against a Self Contained Serviced Apartment complex in Coolangatta. Noted; Outrigger Twin Towns Resort is rated by AAA Tourism as 4.5 Star and provides an affordable easy escape. Open 24 hours, this unpretentious Coolangatta Resort offers a relaxed and friendly environment. Offering a full range of service and facilities in a fresh, clean and safe environment, Outrigger Twin Towns Resort will engage emotions; alive with fun, laughter and joy. This beach holiday style experience is complemented by the truly unique and iconic Twin Towns Service Club literally located under the same roof. Its combination of facilities and ideal location makes it one of the most highly regarded and sought after Gold Coast and Northern NSW destinations

We enjoyed the fact that you really didn' have to leave the hotel because it had everything you needed. Restaurants..Casino...Live shows..Pools..Spas..Steam rooms. The front desk staff were great and the young chef in doing breakfast every morning was great..Best eggs I have had at any hotel I have stayed in...
The only issue I had was our room fridge was not working for 2 days and when asked what could be done we were told to bring our things to keep cold down stairs (8 floors).
We were moved to another room the next day..
In saying this I will be back with my wife and the kids up later in the year...

We had 2 nights at twin towns resort. This was our time with each other, a get away from everyone. Everything was available at this resort, many different food facilities, good entertainment and of course gambling facilities. Everything under one roof and Coolangatta just a stones throw away. Beautiful beaches.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service and standard of accom, usually I have only got this type of service at Lagham in Melbourne at 3 times the price. Would recoment this Hotel to families and business travellers without hesitation.
