“Loved IT! Will definitely be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

This was our first stay at the Beach House. We absolutely loved it! Really impressed with the large size of the apartment, everything was refurbished (really tastefully done) & the view was beautiful. We had a side unit which was light & spacious. Very easy check in. Nothing was a bother for the staff. Beautiful, clean pool.
Coolangatta itself is a beautiful place. This was our first time staying at Coolangatta (we have always headed to Surfers) but will return to Coolangatta over Surfers. Quieter, less touristy, lot nicer & still close to everything (ie. Currumbin, theme parks, shopping etc).
We were a family of 4 (with 2 small children) & it was the perfect place to stay. We are already planning another visit towards the end of the year! You wont be disappointed!

Room Tip: We had a room on the right side of the building. We thought the front rooms would have had the best...

We have been staying here annually for over 10 years now & have experienced the recent upgrades they have done. Very Nice, well done & tasteful. You dont need to be in a floor lower when they are doing upgrades in a floor above you. This is a passing phase that will pass well before this review passes however worth mentioning in the mean time. Excellent staff, very helpful and always in good spirit. Location is good, plenty of eating & drinking options close by. Love the beach, the Long Boarding & Surfing and the board (&beach) walks of which there are many. Lately we have found holidaying in Australia relatively expensive when comparing other destinations we frequent. Still a great place to visit but the Australian experience is now more expensive than other options, their $ is very strong, 16th March 2011.

Room Tip: Opt for an upgraded room, the higher the better.

I have stayed in 4 other resorts in Coolangatta and I would from now on only stay at Beach House Seaside Resort. The cost was cheaper than the others and the rooms were 100% on any of the others. Staff were very helpful and polite. Booking in and out were no trouble.

Highly recommend this resort for families.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 7th floor had fantastic beach views loved it. My sister stayed on the 1st floor whi...

We stayed at The Beach House again after it had been fully renovated . We had room 1702 a two bedroom and 2 bathroom unit with wonderful views out over Coolangatta and Kirra Beaches. The renovations have spruced it up with new appliances, clean and well fitted bathrooms and utilities.

Our friends arrived an hour after us, we drove back the 10 minutes to airport and then returned.
Weather was OK for the 2 weeks. Staff are friendly , courteous and efficient.

This resort is in an excellent location close to restaurants and over the road from the Surf Life Saving Club which has quality meals at good prices.

This is a comfortable resort, with good quality well equipped units. It is not a 5 star resort but is very comfortable and well maintained property in a good location. We will use again, you know it is clean and everything works and it has every utility and a good pool and hot tub.

Only complaint was in availability of car parking underneath, with several spaces still occupied with builders materials and vans and this will continue for next couple of months. until the final renovations of level 1 are completed. Should also comment that the lifts can be slow and with only 2 servicing all levels , this can become a nuisance on check / check out days in particular. But that is only a minor annoyance.

Overall a very good venue in a terrific location and the renovations have improved the overall look and quality immeasurably. Good friendly staff who go out of their way to make the place work.

We will certainly use again and recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny"

It has been 2 years since I have been at The Beach House, 2 years ago I looked at one of the newly renovated unit, it was on the 17th floor and one of the large ones with the sea view, I remember thinking WOW, I was then staying on the 7th floor also with sea view but the smaller middle one, I cannot remember the number.
This time I was in 1702 and when entering I did not have a WOW feeling, I more or less had the thoughts ‘well ok, its fine’, I was thinking why did I have that in the other one and not this, unfortunately I did not have the chance to look in another one on this floor to see the difference. I am now thinking that 1702 has a lot less light coming into the lounge so probably this might be the reason, it is a lot darker. Also you cannot beat those sea views at the front. Also when eating at the table the view is also very much of The Blue C, I will add some photo’s.
One of the pluses of the renovation is the new lighting, hooray that the harsh lighting is a thing of the past, there is even a lamp shade in the dining room. Every-thing looks more modern and the old kitchens are also some-thing no-one will miss.
I found a week old newspaper behind the couch (along with a lot of dust) and I moved the tv which was in front of the window (and sea view) and put a lounge chair in its place, these are the times that very old dust makes an appearance. Actually why oh why have they put a tv in front of this window which gives a view of the sea. Every-thing else was well cleaned and maintained and as it should be.
Such a shame that they did not do anything about the lift which is sooooooo slow and terrible on checkout mornings. Some people had been waiting about 20 minutes to get in the lift with their trolleys.
I would like it if there was a sticker which you could put on the front door with: no seller’s, no free dinners people etc, welcome. Or is that just me...? :-)
Hopefully some-one will open up the deli again because that was wonderful for to get some coffee, sliced meat and bread for your lunch or even get lunch from there.

Do not forget to take binoculars, between June and November it is possible to see whales daily passing by. 2 mornings I saw smaller whales that had spent the night in the bay area... then I mean the bay area which is on the right hand side of the Blue C.

It is a wonderful resort for young and old and you see both here. The atmosphere is really good.
The location is really good and also very handy for to go up or down the coast... I think people would not go down the coast so much (Fingal Head) while you have wonderful area's.
All in all I would really recommend it but do hope that you get a good unit number.

Room Tip: It is impossible to get a guarantee that you will have one of the units at the front. The reception...
