Having spent one night in Bundaburg in the local authority site (we could only get one night), where the cabin backed onto both the river AND the main highway the I-centre got us accommodation at Oakwood for 2 nights. In the end we stayed 4.
OK, like most sites it is on a main road, in this case that from Gin-Gin and there is some commercial traffic early mornings, but the site was well maintained, the cabins quite large for the two of us, comfortable with full cooking facilities, good A/C and fans. The site laundry was efficient and there was plenty of drying space (remember always to carry your own pegs if traveling this way). There is a small pool and a BBQ area for those that need such things, a butcher just down the road and a small store but you need to go into the outskirts of Bundaburg for a supermarket of any size. When we were there in December there were lots of stalls by the roadside selling fruit and melons. The botanic garden is on the way in to Bundy, whilst the road up to Moore Park Beach (a must if you enjoy walking on long strands of sand) is just down the road.
There are new owners who were friendly and helpful. Most of the site appears to be residential with about half a dozen cabins and some caravan pitches. Having looked around the other sites in Bundaburg just to check them out this site was definately the best for site, quiet privacy and convenience
