I had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant midweek. Our group had pre drinks in the bar and the selection of beers on tap was impressive. We were seated by an extremely genial person (could have been the maitre'd or manager), who was attentive throughout the night.
Whilst the views are the main star, the food is just as impressive. My non seafood entree of grilled haloumi was great, however the touted accompanying asparugus was just a couple of spears short. No complaints about the cheese though, plentiful and the balsamic honey sauce very moreish
I had the grilled Moreton bay bugs for main course and they were absolutely delicious!! I recommend the trio of ginger, chilli and garlic sauce.
My dining companions were equally impressed, ordering entrées of octopus and bugs as well.
Given how full we were from the mains, desert was going to be a stretch, however the decision to order the honey wafers and trifle paid off.
Whilst some reviews point to the service being off, and its entirely possible, our night had nothing but positives. From the wine recommendation (spot on), ordering, and drinks the staff were certainly thorough and pleasant.
We'll be back soon.
