Owner description: Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

“Quiet, peaceful, a place of reflection and learning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

I have visited Nan Tien Temple a few times over the past couple of years and each time I visit I am impressed with how clean the grounds are and how peaceful it is to visit. The main temple is open to the public and you are able to get guided tours if you call ahead. Take time to explore the whole grounds as they are very large - if you need any help, everyone is happy to guide you or give you advice. There is also a store for all of your Buddhism needs.

“Gorgeous place”

Peaceful with a side of excellent vegetarian food. The cafe here is fabulous - love the whole feeling of the place. Weird gift shop but certainly worth checking out.

What a lovely humbling place. I would like to visit again. So peaceful and serene. We had a vegetarian lunch and it was just lovely, a pleasant surprise.

“Not worth visiting”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Although this place has looked tempting from the outside for many years, upon visiting I was extremely disappointed. I was imagining it would be a peaceful and tranquil place to visit but the crowds were horrendous, and all we got to see were two shrines. Our visit only lasted 20 minutes and we were so relieved to leave.
