“Outstanding value and unbelievable view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

We had the special and a wonderful two bedroom apartment on 6th floor for bargain price. Very spacious with folding glass doors to balcony. Everything you need with great takeaway breakfasts and meals from the cafe and restaurant downstairs. Helpful staff and location, location, location. We loved the Port and the Boardwalk is spectacular.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

This is the second time we have stayed here. Booked a garden room as all the ocean facing were gone. For the 4 of us it was great. Plenty of space a nice kitchen for a quick breakfast to start the day and very clean.

Short walk to Town beach and easy stroll to the restaurants and shops. Simple check in and secure parking make this convenient and worth it if you need the room.

We stayed in the hotel rooms overnight on the way to and from our destination. The view from all hotel rooms is fantastic with views over Town Beach. The rooms are neat and modern. The indoor pool area is inviting. The staff are friendly and attentive and the service is great. There is an excellent restaurant underneath, a coffee shop which serves breakfast but was always a bit,too busy. The Bowling club is only a 5 minute walk away, serves great breakfasts and buffet lunch and dinners. We arrived on Wednesday so it was seafood extravaganza which was wonderful.Parking is secure and undercover and there is plenty of it,unlike other hotels in the area-Rydges.The only downside was the slow and cramped lifts.Overall a fantastic place.

Wonderful experience for us (family of 4) - highlights were the super friendly service and indoor pool and spa which were handy on the rainy day. Were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's generosity where we were given 1 night free (3 night stay) because of a broken dishwasher. The only reason for not giving this a 5 star rating is the internet service was slow and only worked in the back rooms - after experiencing it for a few minutes we gave up. Again we were pleasantly surprised as the charge for the internet was reversed. All in all a great experience and happy to stay there again.

Thank very much for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased that you and your family had a fantastic stay with us and enjoyed the onsite facilities. The heated indoor pool and spa is popular on those rainy days!

Thank you for your lovely comments about our friendly service, I will pass it on to the team. Sorry to hear that you found the internet slow - we do offer the highest speeds available in regional NSW perhaps there was an issue on the day you were using it. We apologies for that.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review and we look forward to seeing you next time.

Stayed 3 nights in one of the back rooms so no ocean views but for a family with a 1 year old and grandparents the room was ideal. Large, front and back balconies (all very child safe) and with an indoor pool that has a spa attached. Good sized kitchen with most essentials and a bathroom plus e suite for main bedroom which also had plenty of room for a babies cot
Walking distance to both the patrolled section of Town Beach and the bowling club.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We recently stayed with parents at the Observatory, we had ajoining one bedroom suite & standard rooms, all good. The views were excellent over the beach & water, we recommend a sea view. Room was very comfortable and clean. Swimming pool was good but being in School holidays a bit crowded, but what do you expect. A bit pricey and there are cheaper options but generally we were happy with what we got. as a side note its a 15-20minute walk back into the main area where the restaurants are.

Room Tip: Get a sea view its worth the extra

Top $$$ for Port Macquarie.

As per all other reviews, good location, modern building etc etc. however bad street noise. What needs attending too....
Bed poor quality... Totally inadequate lift service, access to floors or at least exiting the building via the stair well would help & why does the adjacent unit aircon hot air blow into 'your unit' space.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Sorry to hear that you encountered road noise - it is Port's busiest time of year. And I apologise for our lifts, they do get quite busy in summer. With the air conditioning - I have noted your feedback for maintenance to look into.

Thanks again for providing us with your feedback.
