“Great Find in the Heart of Port”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

This motel is in a superb location right in the heart of Port Macquarie but only a short stroll to the headlands and city beach. It was ultra-clean and tidy and reminiscent of how motels once were - friendly, professional, focussed on the need of the traveller. If you want the look of the modern then go somewhere else and pay heaps more, but this does us superbly. You can self cater and this reduces costs considerably. WiFi was free, parking was free, cable TV was welcome and the pool was the cleanest we have seen for ages.

We recommend this motel - thank you Connie and John for being so good at running this business and caring for your guests.

Room Tip: Spend a little more for rooms on higher levels to avoid car park noises

Clean, comfortable room. Older style air conditioner a bit noisy. Good location, walking distance to beach & cafes. Pool at front of motel, with entrance by front door of motel, not very private. Staff courteous & helpful. Laundry with coin operated washing machine & dryer. Crockery & cutlery supplied and sink for washing dishes. Would stay here again.

A very clean and comfortable budget motel within easy walking distance of the main street and Town Beach. Fair tariff and free off street parking. Kitchenette that had crockery, cutlery etc + kettle , toaster etc.

We stayed in the apartment at the ground level. You can order breakfast at the hotel which was reasonably priced and it tasted very nice and good servings too. The room was a great size for my family of 5. The carpark at the back was a little tight.

We booked into this motel for a Friday night, but extended our stay through to Sunday after finding plenty to do in Port Macquarie. The rooms are really old fashioned (I smiled when I saw the faux marble patterned bathroom tiles from the eighties) but comfortable and clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. A bargain $90 a night.

We stayed here on our way to Qld and for a very budget price we were pleasantly surprised at the facilities. Complimentary Wi Fi + Foxtel and the unit was ultra clean. Also, very importantly it was extremely quiet which is not always the case with hotel/motels. We liked it so much for the cost we stayed there on our way back. It is tucked away in a very quiet spot but close enough to eating places etc., Would recommend for anyone not wanting views and looking for cheap accommodation for a night or two.

Room Tip: I don't think it matters which room (we had room 1). We paid for a budget room - non smoking.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

We are currently staying at this motel and must say, it has exceeded our expectations. The rooms are of a motel standard (basic) however, we are staying in a 2 bedroom family apartment that has a bathroom, small kitchenette, 1 queen bed and 1 single in one room and 2 single beds in the second room which is very functional for our family. The airconditioner is a little noisy but the room is well equipped and only a very short walk to the CBD and it's facilities. Perfect for a family with 4 young children. The standout thing about this property is the cleanliness. Being in the travel industry for 20 years I have stayed at my fair share of accommodation around the world from 6 star to budget and I cannot fault the cleanliness of our room. The hosts are also very friendly and hospitable. Don't overlook this property, it represents good value for money and I can guarantee the property is well cleaned.
