What a lovely property Tuscany is. Staff are incredibly friendly, rooms are immaculate and the locals (kangaroos on the lawn in the evening) are a real treat. Brokenwood Tapas Bar is a fabulous spot to enjoy a sundowner before tucking into a delicious selection of morsels - the goats cheese croquettes are to die for. Although we didn't take our furry four legged friend, we were informed that they have pet friendly rooms should we wish to bring him next time. A great stay, relaxing, and we will certainly be back

Room Tip: Kangaroos gather outside the rooms closest to the restaurant

Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all involved at Tuscany and The Mill for a wonderful experience yesterday. Everyone was raving about the day, the cooking, the dinner, the wine, the accommodation and the breakfast. Nothing less then superb!
Really wonderful place you have up there.
Very much appreciated and we look forward to hopefully doing the same again.

Room Tip: Rooms close to reception facing pool were best

We arrived from Sydney in time to get a table at the Mill Restaurant on the Friday night. The service was fabulous we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming member of the Estate's staff. We were taken to a table with I believe one of the Hunter's best views! There were so many delicious choices on the menu matched with a fabulous wine list it was an extremely difficult decision, made easier though by the knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We had a great day at Jazz in the Vines and made our way back to the hotel we loved Dinner so much on the Friday night we wanted to dine there again, but unfortunately for us there was a beautiful Wedding on in the main restaurant. We decided to dine in the bar and I'm glad we did, completely different atmosphere and experience but as equally amazing! Overall a great place to stay and a fabulous weekend away! Will definitely stay there again next time I’m in the Hunter.

Room Tip: Vineyard view rooms have a stunning view!

We stayed at Tuscany Resort for our anniversary last year and really liked it so came back again this year. We decided to stay in the more expensive Vineyard view room this year but found the decor and location to be bland so moved to the Olive Grove view room for our second night which had a nice bed and furniture. The rooms are dated. There were big cracks on the walls and the baths are very small despite the bathroom being large and spacious. The breakfast the next day didn't seem as comprehensive as the year before and they seemed to have removed hash browns from the menu and barrista coffee cost extra but I am sure it was included in the breakfast last year. Dinner in the Mill Bar was dysfunctional with it taking over an hour to receive chips and pizza and 30 minutes just to take our order. It wasn't a bad stay, but I think we'll try somewhere different next year.

I received a gift voucher to stay at the Tuscany Wine Resort for my birthday in May. It wasnt until this weekend that we were able to get away. We were really looking forward to 48 hours without children. I have to say that the resort is in a fantastic location and accomodation is what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. I have th say the bath was tiny and the shower tends to flood the bathroom, but fine otherwise. Our issue was with the meals. We arrived at the Mill for dinner on Friday night to find the restaurant manager highly stressed this was presenting itself in the way she spoke to her staff and unfortunately we were close to the kitch so we were able to hear her swear at the staff and threaten that she would take them all off the floor if they did not start doing their job. We ask to speak to her as we did not want to endure an evening meal listeaning to more of the same. She did apologise and by way of explanation she offered that the staff were not well trained. Luckily the food was lovely and we got used to asking for things seveal times before they arrived (After asking for the bill three times we finally left without siging the chit). On Sturday night we had been told to head to the bar before 7pm as there was a conference group staying who had booked for dinner for 30 people at 7pm. So we headed up at 5.45 thinking we could have a pre dinner beverage on the verandah and have an early dinner before the crowd arrived. Unfortunately there was a wedding at the Mill and they were having drinks at the bar whilst the bride had her photos, in additon to this there was a private function on the verandah from 4-6pm. When we appraoched the bar we were told that the bar wasnt opened to the public. We advised that we were guest at the estate and managed to be served a drink. When we asked about food we were told nothing could be done until after 6.30 (the barman was obvioulsy stress, but that does not excuse rudeness). I expainded that we had not eaten since breakfast and would really apprecaite something to eat. We were told he would see what he could do but there were no promises. Needless to say we left the bar and arranged a taxi to take us elsewhere for dinner. This was a $50 round trip as there are no corner delis in the Hunter. When we spoke with reception on the way back to our room they were apologetic but unable to offer a solution. The final straw was at breakfast this morning, as we were reading our papers enjoying the veiw at the Mill restaurant, a member from the conference group decided to stand up and start making announcements about next years conferenece. I think that the Tuscany Wine Estate management need to decide if they are going to cater for groups and couples or groups only. If there continue to push couples to the side and give them no consideration then sooner or later they will loose this segment of the market. We definitely would not recommend going to the TWE to any couples that are heading to the Hunter.

This should have been great but certainly wasn't . Even the locals describe it as " a bit tired " - more than a bit I would say . VERY !!!! . Rooms were less than up to scratch & the bed .... One of the worse I have EVER tried to sleep in .
Yes it was quiet , but isn't it all up there . The " the olive grove " for which our " suite" was supposedly named after , were 5 or 6 small trees out back .
Much better value around up there .

Our wedding day was the most spectacular day of our lives and we will never forget it!

We would like to thank Katie, Kirsty & the team at Tuscany for making our day so special. Rob & I had a fantastic experience with you all and will never forget it. A special thanks goes to Phil in the bar, you are such a character and so much fun.

Coming from an events background I know I didn't make it easy for the team, but Katie was always so accommodating and most of all professional. Nothing was ever too difficult.

We had so many positive comments about the food from our guests. This is no ordinary function food, this is high class restaurant food. Very impressed!

We will keep in touch and hopefully be back for many anniversaries to come :-)
Much love
