“Comfortable Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Was up in the hunter attending a Wedding. Very hard to find accomodation just for 1 night however Leisure Inn was able to accomodate us. Upon arrival we were very warmly greeted by the front desk staff. It was a hot 35+ degree day that day. Upon entering our studio inn it was nice to find that housekeeping had turned the Air conditioning prior to our arrival which i thought was a nice touch. The room was very neat and tidy. The room had more amenities that i anticipated or expected. Although we were just stay for the night it was better than i expected and would stay there again as its location is quite central.

We stayed in the Hunter Valley at Leisure Inn, whilst having a holiday travelling from Brisbane to Sydney. Leisure inn is in a fabulous situation, overlooking hills, vineyards and beautiful animals grazing. We had a unit overlooking the dam and had ducks coming for breakfast every day. Being self contained, we find suits us perfectly. Having a restaurant on sight was also extremely useful (could have a few more glasses of wine and walk across the grass to home!) The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. We would totally recommend this to anyone, especially couples wishing to relax and take in the ambience.

Room Tip: Units overlooking the dam and very quiet and relaxing.

My husband and stayed here for a short getaway and we had a lovely relaxing time. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was quiet and we felt as if we had a longer holiday! Would recommend this for either couples or family. We had a mix up with housekeeping but it was promptly sorted and rectified.

Stayed their for a weekend. While having a spa one night turned on the jets and the spa filled with scum and dirt from the jets which is down right discusting. Also brown stains on floor on bathroom went to see reception said they would send someone immediately 3 hours later someone decided to come and have a look. Pretty disappointing if u ask me And in writing to the company we have had no reply with this matter. Would not recommend to stay their

Dear Zoroy87, Firstly I apologies for our maintenance team taking so long to get to your room, as you can understand at night, like all properties, we have limited resources to attend to guest issues. I can assure you we will always do our best and upon investigating our maintenance man was attending to other issues for other guests and attended as soon as he could.
Unfortunately, I did not receive your letter and therefore was unaware that you had raised more concerns than at the time of the issue, which I was assured, was attended to in the appropriate manner and rectified completely with no further issues.
Further investigation into your issue found that your situation was not one of hygiene and in fact we had the same issue in other villas in the vicinity of your unit. The dirty water was in fact due to a contaminated water supply from Hunter Water who had experienced a broken pipe, which we all know results in muddy water in the pipes.
I can assure you that we follow all the requirements for cleaning within the units and can only apologies that this issue occurred but was out of our control.

Best Regards
Wayne Brenton

Nothing flash and very good value. The rooms are clean enough. Aircon works well and they even left it on before we arrived which was a nice touch as it is summer right now. Great location and very spread out. For the price you really can't go wrong.

My previous partner and I stayed at the Leisure Inn and it was really fantastic. Excellent views of the beautiful Hunter Valley Vineyards, easy to find, close to some prominent vineyards, walking distance from Harrigans. We went on a small bus wine tour, had a great time with local people.
The room was top class, very clean, comfortable, 4 star accommodation, fantastic.....
The staff were friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to another stay in 2013.

Room Tip: Look on the web for this accommodation or the Hunter Vally travel guide. Use local vineyard bus tour...

Husband and I had a two night stay in Units 27 & 28 with another couple as a two bedroom apartment. Unit 27 is basically a ‘suite’ – separate bedroom with a bathroom and kitchenette, dining table and sitting area. Unit 28 was more motel style. Basically a bedroom with a sink and microwave, table and two chairs, air con and television all in one room and then a bathroom off this room. I think 28 had the advantage as the air con and television were in the same room as the bed. There is an interconnecting door between the two rooms. A comfortable stay in a reasonably clean apartment. The kitchen is tiny with very limited cooking equipment. Two hotplates and a microwave and very few utensils. Plenty of wine glasses though! Each bathroom had a spa bath. Lounge in sitting area didn’t quite accommodate four people and was very uncomfortable.
A previous poster commented on the room rates being variable depending on your negotiating skills. I agree and sadly my skills were not great as we were told we were committed to the booking we made despite the rooms being offered at $100 cheaper per night. Reception staff not willing to budge. We paid $324 per night and paid a deposit online. I suggest not booking ahead as the best rate was $239 per night. Did consider losing the online deposit and making a fresh booking. A gentleman on reception on the Monday morning was delightful - friendly and helpful with info and interesting stories about the property.
Units 27 & 28 are right near Broke Road which had pros and cons. The walkway through to Hunter Valley Gardens and the shopping village was at the back of our units but so was the Monday morning 5am traffic. Tuesday morning was not quite as busy thankfully.
Nice clean pool and barbecue area. Games room was locked. Lots of space and privacy and lovely views over grapevines to the Ridge.
The highlight of our Hunter Valley visit was Emily from Hunter Valley Carriages and her coach ride through the vineyards. Emily and her ‘girls’ were fantastic. Highly recommended.
A good stay and we would stay here again.
