This Motor inn is old and our room smelt of mould. Unfortunately after our last experience here we swore never to return however we forgot the name of the place and inadvertantly booked this motel again. The rooms had been updated with paint and new bedding however the rooms remained smelly and I had to ask for some spray. I did attempt to book in another motel but they were booked out or much more expensive at the last minute.

Yes its a bit dated but it is perfectly adequate if you are looking for budget accommodation and have a car to park. The host was very pleasant. It was lovely to have a bright airy room with a large opening window and be able to see a nice view with the kookaburras outside in the trees and the resident cat sunning itself. The beds were comfortable and the despite the age of the bathroom, the shower was very good, with lots of individual soap and shampoo sachets. The room comes with very good amenities with tea, coffee and biscuits, microwave, fridge, iron/board, tv, clock radio, etc. Has a nice looking pool also. There was also a menu with in-house dining but we did not sample as we were on a tight budget, looked appealing though. We had a room close to the road but the noise was minimal considering. Would most definitely stay again!

We stayed for 2 nights recently. Its old and yes there is mold in the shower but it is cheap so what do you expect....my main beef however was that on the morning of check out we had 2 different cleaners open our door unannounced at separate times.....unacceptable !

Room Tip: Ask for a room down the back otherwise you are right on the pacific highway.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way up to Brisbane. It was clean and comfortable. Fitted our family of 6 well enough. A bit dark on the inside but has aircon and foxtel. The window couldn't be opened more than a few cms and had some sort of stick wedging it shut as it didnt lock so felt a bit stuffy but good value for a quick stopover. Close to shops etc and easy to find.

I had a great sleep here, after 10 hours of driving. Old buildings, but containing clean rooms and a welcoming couple who run the place.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay which is not part of a franchise, and more importantly, have a motor vehicle, then this is it.
