“More than I expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Even though Newcastle has had a museum for years, we had never been to it, so now we have and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are some interactive areas for kids and heaps of interesting things for adults and now its all in a new location so don't miss it

“Museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

The museum has only recently moved to this smaller location at Honeysuckle. Unfortunately sometimes parking in this area can be a hassle, maybe park and catch free bus up Hunter street then walk across to Honeysuckle. AThe museum is worth a visit and changes it exhibits from time to time... You can then take in the wonderful foreshore.

“Very Interesting & Enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Well worth the visit, don't miss it. No admission fee, only a donation if you want, great for a family. Lots of hands on for kids to enjoy. Cafe and clean toilets on hand. Parking closeby.

“Great for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

This is a great place for kids, especially when it's raining or very very hot. There are tonnes of child-friendly exhibits and a wonderful play area for little ones (pre-walking size). I found the adult exhibitions to be a little bit take-it-or-leave-it but there were some that were quite impressive. Definitely a place to go with children though
