“A short stroll to the cafe strip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Very helpful staff at the front desk on arrival, continuing the good service received when making the reservation initially.
It is agreeable to stay in an apartment occassionally rather than a hotel.
While the apartment was a little bland and soulless in its decor the convenience of a washing machine, dryer and space was an advantage. Accommodation provided a good night's sleep, and a coffee can be enjoyed on the balcony to watch the sunrise.
The location is a short stroll to the waterfront cafe strip alongside Honeysuckle Drive.
It would be sensible to request a secure parking space when bookng the accommodation if required.
The swimming pool is a good size for lap swimming.

I was really excited about my trip but really let down by the service and attitude of some of the staff members. The room itself was quiet expensive and although it has decent amenities our $255 for the one night didn't include parking or wifi which was disappointing.

We were also falsely charged an additional $65 for a mini bottle of white wine we had supposedly drank from the mini bar which we had to call back and get reversed as we had brought our own food from the trip and didn't touch the mini bar.

It simply seemed excessive and everything that one would normally expect to be included in the price of a room was an additional charge which is stressful and unpleasant.

Made a booking for this place to stay overnight for hubby's b'day.. got a babysitter for the night, made dinner reservations, packed and off we go only to get a call when we are almost there that their computer systems are not working right and our apartment reservations can't be honoured! They are overbooked!!! What a total waste of money for us for the babysitter!! They offered us a room at their Jesmond apartment?!!! When our plans where to stay in Newcastle so we didn't have to drink and drive!!! ... Thanks B7 for totally wrecking our night out and no offer for a "free" night stay or anything else to make up for it... Happy Birthday Hubby... NOT!!!!!!!!!! :(
SO VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!

These apartments were way better than staying at a hotel. Very clean and modern rooms, fully furnished with kitchen facilities and the basic necessities (tea, coffee, bathroom products). Great location close to Darby Street and Honeysuckle - if you are planning a night out in Newcastle - they are all within walking distance. Also offers a generous late check out time of 11am. Would definitely keep in mind again if travelling for either business or personal reasons.
