We visited this cafe for the third time today. We really want to like this well located and pleasant cafe in the Maitland Art Gallery but yet again, they lost our order. We became suspicious after waiting about an hour for our eggs and bacon and seeing other tables who arrived after us getting their food. Sure enough, after enquiring, our waiter apologised, offered a free coffee and promised our meals would be out in 5 minutes. The eggs and bacon was pleasant enough (not great) but as this is the second time our order has mysteriously vanished into the ether, we are very nervous about returning. Please owner/manager, teach your young staff to take responsibility for their patrons. THINK about why that couple on table whatever don't seem to have their food and FIND OUT WHY. Perhaps an eagle eyed manager could sharpen up the show and steer this cafe towards the higher standard of food and service (that's a verb) that the location deserves.
