“Beds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Suited our needs well, somewhere to sleep and bathroom and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the bunk bed was very noisy. This was worse when our daughter slept on the top bunk which had a sponge mattress and was not all that comfortable. The metal noise of the bed each time she moved was very difficult to sleep with. The other two nights she slept on the bottom bunk, the mattress was more comfortable meaning she did not move as much and we all slept much better.

I believe it is the best value in town, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and they do have very friendly & helpful staff. Everytime I drive through Dubbo I stay there. Also closeby Ibis you find really good thai restaurant...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

I was looking for a hotel after a 9 hour drive - somewhere to sleep the night before heading off for another long day of driving the following day.
Ibis budget was very inexpensive so I booked online with the hotel. Checked in with a very pleasant lady at reception and was given a room on the first floor. There were no lifts so you probably wouldn't want to be carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs.
The room was very basic - bed, TV and bathroom - but it was clean and had air-con although I didn't need to use it. The room didn't have the facilities to make tea or coffee but that was available free of charge down at reception.
Although near a fairly major intersection I didn't find noise from traffic a problem and I had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was available near the reception area for a reasonable price.
This was a great hotel for what I wanted - that is, a place to have a shower and a clean bed to sleep in. At $59 it was great value.

The rooms were clean and well priced, great value for money.

Personally, the key factor in my decision to recommend the Dubbo Ibis was the way in which Maria (Manager) went out of her way to ensure a comfortable stay. Thanks!

Dubbo was a stopover on the way to Surfers Parasise. Was sceptical about staying here. How wrong I was! Welcome fantastic? Spotless, comfortable room. Couldn't have wanted more for a good sleep prior to a long drive the next day. Thank you!

The last time I stayed here it was called Formule 1, and it was tired. Now, renamed Ibis Budget, it's had a complete makeover, and it's fresh, clean, and the same value for money. I was charged $69 (for a double) for the first night, and $59 for the second. The new manager (Maria) genuinely wanted to make my stay a positive experience, remembered my name, and later asked me "Are you happy with your room; is there anything you need". This is quality basic accommodation (no mini bar, fridge, phone). I doubt you could find better for the money. Free tea and coffee in foyer (but not in room). Hungry Jacks is next door if you need a quick meal.

We stayed to attend a weekend conference. Whilst the rooms are a little spartan they are very functional and have what you need. The room was clean and well presented and was great value for money. The Queen bed could benefit from a lip at the bottom to prevent it sliding on its base.

Although close to the main highway noise was not an issue. There is a hotel next door which serves excellent bistro meals and fast food outlets close by.

Room Tip: If you are aged or not very mobile seek a room on the ground floor as there is no lift.
