The room was so disgusting, we asked for a refund and were denied. We were then moved to another room which wasn't any better. This is very dosappointing and I most definitely would not be recommending this motel to anyone!

Spacious clean room, nice ensuite, comfortable bed .... add to this friendly helpful owners and you have a beaut spot to stay either overnight as with us, or for an extended stay. The Motor Inn is on a busy road, but the rooms are set back so there is no highway noise. Within easy walking distance to shops and across the road from several take-away food outlets. We will definitely make this an overnight stay if passing through the Dubbo area again.

We stayed in Dubbo last night after traveling from Newcastle, we only wanted a Budget motel and this was more than suitable, compared to a recent stay at Rydges Bass Hill during this trip, they (Rydges) could learn a lot from the Shearing Shed Motor Inn, free Wifi, free Soap, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, and shaving cream dispensers. yes the Shearing Shed is dated, but clean, with all the amenities you require, close walking distance to all food outlets, we ate at the RSL which was only a 300 metre walk away, a fabulous roast dinner. Would definitely stop at the Shed again.

Friendly managers. Very basic rooms. The rooms are a good size with ensuite bathroom but the amenities are budget basic . Our room 23 had queen and single beds, tiny TV,Tiny microwave and tiny fridge. The room is spacious enough to please any guests and a few simple improvements would go a long way.. There are so many motels along this strip and they Ll vary in tariff. This one was cheap at $98 so it is worth the 3/5. If it was higher priced I would have given it 1/5. Flouro lights, tiny pictures, rattle box A/C unit all indicate that the owners (not the managers) have done nothing to improve the place since about 1980. The rooms could easily be great if some money was spent.
Very cheap linen and old colored towels, cheap mattresses, although comfortable, dripping tap and squeaky doors all, but the room was very clean, you can tell by that overpowering smell of chemicals.
A little harsh I know. Overall the motel is good. I just wonder why more is not done to improve it.

We stayed at the Shearing Shed on the recommendation of a friend. The room was a bit dated but clean, and we found it to be very quiet. The 2 bedroom room had air conditioning although we found it a bit noisy so left it off (the night time temperature was pretty cool anyway). Both bedrooms had a tv. Very convenient for visiting the zoo (about a 10 minute drive). There were a few restaurants within walking distance, so we didn't have to take the car out again at night after driving around all day.

We got a deal for the room that included breakfast, which was brought to our room. The scrambled eggs were tasty and a decent sized serve.

My employer booked me into this motel, and admittedly I may be a bit over-critical as I usually stay in luxury motels not 'value' ones, but I cannot put up with finding hairs in the bed! Two medium and two shorter hairs found in between the old thin and yellowed looking sheets. Really ought to do the laundry and cleaning better and buy new linen.

Other negatives: no Foxtel/Austar
Dirty stained looking carpet. Tiny fridge that was not very cold. 2 hairs found in bathroom. Old style (not split system) noisy air conditioner. Not that quiet, could hear faint noise of next rooms television and can hear cars driving past.

Positives: good sized room. Bed comfortable enough. New shower
screen. Microwave. Walls ceiling and surfaces clean.
