“Beautiful old style accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

The Imperial was a touch of luxury with beautiful rooms and a wonderful verandah on which to end your day with wine and cheese.
The breakfast was fresh and varied.
A great place to base your explorations of this amazing town and surrounding countryside.

We stayed 2 nights in a family apartment, King size bedroom and 2 singles in separate room. Ideal for family of four. Big living area with kitchen area (fridge/microwave in addition to shared kitchen outside of apartment) and separate bathroom. Access out on to Verandah of hotel.

The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Didn't hear any noise from others in hotel however the street noises of Broken Hill (V8s, Utes) were evident on one night.

Everything was clean and working. Breakfast is provided as cook-your-own which would have been fine if the couple in the kitchen when we arrived had not decided to cook all the bacon for themselves! Otherwise all good.

I agree with the previous comments. We had two nights here and it was excellent. We had a beautifully appointed room. The staff were great. The place was great. Don't hesitate. It's outstanding. An oasis in a tough but very rewarding town.

Had 5 nights in Broken Hill, Stayed at the Imperial Fine Accommodation. There were 3 couples so we stayed in their 3 bedroom apartment, excellent! It had 2 bathrooms and easy access to the kitchen to cook your own breakfast with food provided by the hotel (hotel did the washing up which was a plus when you are on holidays). Swimming pool to cool off in. Great balcony for afternoon drinks.
Good value for money. When in Broken Hill a must see is "The Big Picture".

We received a very warm welcome from the Manager - Pauline. She gave us a tour of this gloriously restored old hotel which is luxuriously appointed (see photographs).

The rooms are very quiet due to the double-glazed windows; and the full length block-out curtains ensure the sun doesn't wake you early. The bed was comfortable and had an electric blanket which was much appreciated. Our room rate included a self-cooked breakfast which included fruit, cereals, juices, toast, bacon and eggs. At the end of your day, enjoy watching the sun set from the veranda.

If you enjoy luxury, treat yourself and stay at the Imperial Fine.

I enjoyed my stay immensely. My husband and I had an enormous room that was beautifully decorated with antique furniture. The whole establishment has been restored and there are interesting stories to read about its history and ownership over the years. As a number of reviewers report, it has a sweeping balcony which is a great place to relax with drinks in the evening, or to have breakfast. It's a cook your own affair with the fridge well stocked. A very nice stay and I highly recommend.

Only been to BH this once but after much research this was the best place to stay at 4.5 stars. Old world charm but all new fittings/decor that work well and and make it enjoyable. No old musty smells etc and it is obvious a lot of love was put into the restoration. We had 2 rooms and both were very pleasant experiences with private ensuites. Both close to verandah access and kitchen. The victuals provided for breakfast were good and a surprise as we were not aware these were included as were free DVDs, mags etc.
Hosts left us to our own devices and non intrusive in any way. Met new friends on the verandah over drinks and this place along with Broken Earth restaurant made New Years Eve 2012 a great day.
