Was booked into hotel for work, arrived on a very cold and frosty Bathurst evening and decided to eat at hotel (Rydges), with no prior information. Well, it was such a surprise. First impressions were of really friendly service, great menu selection and really nice ambience. The duck salad for entree was suburb and the standout for the night. Beef beautifully done and sides to accompany, well chosen and the greens vibrant. The dessert platter, a little too much ice-cream and not enough variety, but the flavours sensational and I regretted not deciding on the passion fruit pudding. However, a perfect crime brûlée topped it off perfectly. Nice local wine selection, but the service a real stand out! A fabulous night.
