“Good basic motel with friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

I stayed here overnight with my daughter whilst in Bathurst for a sporting event. The staff were very friendly on arrival and helpful in talking us through where to find everything. The room we stayed in (21) was very small but also very clean. It is close to shopping but the downside is the proximity to the highway with trucks stopping and starting at the traffic lights just outside most of the night. The bed was a bit on the hard side and I would suggest bringing your own pillows (they were also harder than I am used to). Overall I would stay again but probably ask for a quieter room out the back.

I stayed for one one night while attending my daughter's graduation from CSU. A number of other venues were booked out on the night I was in town so my options were somewhat limited. I took the lowest price alternative available as I only needed somewhere to sleep and bathe. The room (#2) was small and basic but was absolutely clean and had all that I needed for my short visit. The toiletries were actually of a better standard than I would have expected for the price point. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately my sleep was disrupted by the proximity of the room to the main road and traffic lights on the corner. Traffic appears to be heavy both day and night and the constant noise of large trucks halting at the lights and then starting again was annoying.
Rooms further back from the road and perhaps shielded by other buildings may be quieter.
Value for money was certainly received in all other ways.

Room Tip: Keep as far from the traffic lights as possible or bring ear plugs (or perhaps both).

I stopped in on my way past to ask directions but was so impressed by my welcome that I decided to stay.Stayed in room 28 which was ideal for a single(in my case) or a double.Very spacious,they thought of everything.Great shower with ample toiletries etc and up to date television in the main room.Table & chairs was appreciated for some map reading.
It is centrally located so I walked up main street to find some dinner.(I was unaware of restaurant until afterwards.) Pool looked enticing but I was too late arriving.

Room Tip: Ask for a back room away from road.

Stayed for just one night.

Pros;

Proximity to town centre and conveniences
Has on site restaurant where we could get continental breakfast

Cons;
Not sure of room number but the room seemed to be an afterthought. Perhaps a converted disused service area?
Entry was from car park driveway.
Bathroom was almost as big as bedroom which created a cold and draughty atmosphere throughout.
Shower cubicle leaked water all over floor.
No curtains in (east facing) bathroom just frosted glass so light streamed in at sunrise.
Only restaurant staff member seemed more interested in morning TV show and packing away than serving customers.

All in all not a great experience. Perhaps it was just the room!

I have stayed at this Motel several times now as a two night stay working visitor to Bathurst. The motel has exceeded my expectations for value for money each time with Dan Murphy's across the road and a great Lebanese restaurant 75 meters walk.
The rooms are spacious and beds are big (I am 6'4") very large flat screen TV, great showers and water pressure, breakfast is on time and hot or Macca's is a three minute walk.
All staff met so far are friendly and make the stay enjoyable. e.g. Reception offered milk for room but did not have any Skim milk, 30 mins later staff member was at the room door with skim milk. I was very impressed with the service.
Bathurst is a high cost region for accommodation however these guys buck that trend and offer good pricing for good rooms.
I am employed with a very large government organisation and this Motel is now our preferred supplier for accommodation in Bathurst.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the pool as they are in the quietest area of the Motel.

Stayed here on a trip from Sydney to Melbourne. Accommodation was two bedroom apartment in what seems to be a block of houses attached to the motel. Fine for an overnight stop, but wouldn't have wanted to spend any more time there than necessary. Everything looking a bit tired, but clean.
Highlight of stay was the Rorsche toilet paper wrappers, including identical colour and font :)

Myself and one of my staff just spent 3 nights here. We had a room each. Rooms were presented well and cleaned properly daily. Continental breakfast was included in our room rate. Breakfast was very good. Staff all seemed quite friendly and helpful. Weather was very cold, but rooms were nice and warm. Bed comfortable and good shower and water pressure. I will stay again when in Bathurst.
