We had the pleasure of discovering Barcoos Barn earlier this month. After reading many positive reviews and searching for farm stays in NSW, I was sure my 7-year-old daughter would be in her element here. Having left booking to the last minute, Elaine advised that the only accommodation left for the weekend was a caravan (with a heater). She suggested that we bring an electric blanket to keep cosy at night and plenty of warm clothes for the day. We set off ready for an adventure!
What a wonderful experience we had. From early in the morning until dusk, Elaine and Ken kept us all entertained with chook, horse, sheep and cow feeding, tractor rides, horse rides, sulky rides and whatever else needed to be done around the farm. From my daughter's perspective, the highlight was LucyLou, a 3-day-old lamb, who had to be bottle fed and given lots of cuddles (from all of us). There were tears all the way home because she didn't want to leave Barcoos.
Thank you so much Elaine and Ken for a wonderful weekend away. We will definitely be back.

Thank You Michelle for this wonderful review. We enjoyed having you visit & sharing our special part of The Central West with you & your family. Sorry about the tears on the way home, apparently it is fairly common & although it must be trying we take it as a compliment.

LucyLou Lamb is doing famously, now loves to jump, skip & play chasing's with young guests & she has been joined today by a little orphan boy lamb from another farmer. Current guests have to name him before they leave to-morrow!
Hope to see you again some time in the future. - Elaine & Ken.
