“THIS IS A TOP TOURIST CARAVAN PARK-Basic but clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2012

Staff are fantastic. The cabins are basic but clean. The caravan sites are small but functional.
Good value for overnight stays. We had a studio cabin(for dad and kids) with a double bed and a seperate room with a bunk bed.
Great value for families staying overnight.Cabins are quiet by their nature.
We also had a caravan site.VERY NOISY.
Basic facilities and an unheated pool.

Room Tip: Cabins are good some with spas.Cabins quiet.Caravan sites on gravel and with much road noise.Maybe c...

We booked a cabin at this park in an emergency thanks to our removalists stuffing up our move to Townsville! I rang about 6pm on the day we were leaving to arrange a booking as we would not be arriving until about 10.30. We were given clear directions to find the park and the cabin, and the key was left in the door for us. Jenny could not have been more helpful. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean, quite spacious and well equipped, including the perfect touch for us of a full ice cube tray when we were desperate for a drink and only had warm wine! Cost was $83 for a 2 bedroom cabin which was great value. Looked like a very big pool, and even though we backed onto the main highway noise was minimal. We would definitely recommend this park if you're passing through Albury.

Stayed here with my husband & 1 year old in a 2 bedroom deluxe cabin. When I enquired I asked for a cabin that would fit the porta cot I was bringing for our baby, I was told only the deluxe cabin had room. Sure, there was room in the main living area, but definately not in either of the bedrooms. The only way we could solve this (and put baby to sleep separately so we could still talk/watch tv after 7pm) was to move the single bed in the second bedroom and stand it up on its end against the wall. Not the easiest task but the only way a cot could fit. The cabin was clean and cosy, and cooking facilities were good, but it was supposed to sleep 5 people (sure the beds were there), but with 4 dining chairs and only a 3 seater couch, it wouldn't be very comfy with 5 people. Was also very cold. The main bed had sheets + 1 blanket, suggest bringing your own blanket with you or requesting a second one. There was free wi-fi throughout the caravan park, but the owner advised this does not work in all the cabins, to take our laptop and go sit in the guest centre (room with tables & chairs). Good location on the main road, with service station & Hungry Jacks accross the road. For the price, I would stay again for an overnight stop between Sydney & Melbourne, but definately not for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Cabins down the back would have less road noise

I booked on the YHA website to stay here and I had a hard time finding the place. I thought there was some mistake, because there was a caravan park at the specified address. The helpful receptionist informed me that the caravan park had just gotten YHA accreditation for some of its rooms and had not yet put up a sign.
The 8 hostel rooms are down a dim corridor on the upstairs floor of the caravan park amenities block. There is also a small sitting area upstairs. Directly below the rooms are the men's and women's bathrooms. Hence the main problem: the noise. There is no road noise, even though the caravan park is situated on a highway, but throughout the night I was awakened whenever anyone shut a door or flushed a toilet down below. It is amazing how well sound travels throughout the hostel rooms!
Aside from that, the rooms were bland but perfectly acceptable, with air conditioning, heating, bunk beds and a double bed.

Accommodation had all basic requirements.. very clean. Shower very small, beds too hard, did have electric blankets fitted, wifii intermittent to almost non existent with the main router having to be reset everytime you needed to log in. Had minimal contact with staff but whenever contact was made they were obliging. All round basic, very clean.

My wife and I stayed in one of the two bedroom Cabins with our 3 year old daughter.
The main room was a good size, it had FREE wireless internet and a LCD TV!
The mini kitchen was usefull and the main shops are only 500m away.
No problems here :)
