“A 'must do' for anyone visiting Port Stephens.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Apprehension quickly gave way to sheer adrenalin as we tore up the sand hills and launched ourselved down the steep decentsin this two hours of fun and excitement. The guided from the Worimi people were wonderful. After ensuring that safety instructions were clearly understood, we were led out into a rip-roaring adrenalin charged adventure tour up and over and around the sand hills that seem to stretch out forever. After about an hour of riding, we paused briefly to take in the scenery and learn a little of the cultural significance of the area, the history and the changing face of the landscape. Then it was back off charging around the sand dunes, playing a high speed game of 'follow the leader', and diving head first down what seemed like near vertical drops. Our group varied in age from early twenties to mid fifties, both male and female, and we all had a ball. I will definately be returning to do it all again. If you are visiting the area, put this on your list of things to do. You won't be disappointed.

“Truly.awesome.fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

I organised a group of 14 people to spend 2 hrs on the dunes followed by BBQ lunch. I was really worried about the steepness of the dunes, but I soon learnt that the bikes "dig" into the sand going down, so the pace of descent is only walking pace. We had 3 guides. Their safety instructions were excellent, and they were vigilant watching over us the whole time. I held back to take photos, and one guide always waited for me. The bikes were automatic and easy, and for the whole time we stayed in single-file. This is NOT about racing, it is about safe fun on the sand. We went up dunes, down dunes, across the face of dunes, stopped at the top to look at the Pacific Ocean, did sandboarding. We supplied our own meats, buns and drinks for the BBQ. We were a group of males between ages 18-60, and it was great. Definitely safe for teenagers, and next time we go we are taking the girlfriends/wives.

“Great off road driving, and Sand Adventure tours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Sand Adventures quad bike tour of aboriginal heritage land was fantastic and so much better than than quad biking on public areas. Quad biking in general area is frought with danger from cars and inexperienced riders doing their own thing. The scenery and solitude of tours with Sand Adventures made it a must do experience with experienced guides from the Worimi people leading an informative tour. Would do every time on trip to Port Stephens and very little bike experience needed
