“Good food with an American theme.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2010

Visited here at the end of November on a Sunday evening, they were very busy but did manage to find us a table without a reservation. Overall found our meals turned up in good time and of reasonably good quality, so no complaints.

“A bit like an American diner but nevertheless pleasant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2010

First night here, needed food found The Ranch.

Food was good - steak and ate upstairs in what seemed to be a bit of a games room although spacious and not in your face.

Decent music playing on a video jukebox although it resembled an American diner with decor, and pool table.

The restaurant downstairs was full when we arrived thus the reason for sitting upstairs. Drinks needed to be bought up as it appeared to be full waitress service.

Overall, reasonably cheap and sensibly priced. Would have given the service a higher score but we were served by a pleasant young lady who was on her first night there - no problems but just a bit slow - we all however have to learn somewhere.

“Average all the way...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2010

Cowboy/western themed restaurant with decent menu: burgers, seafood, one or two vegetarian dishes. Food was good but nothing to wright home about (no pun intended). Took a while for us to get menus. Only two people working tables and was quite busy. Kind of pricey ($90 NZ) when you add a couple drinks...spent less in Queenstown and got much better food and service. Shame this place was recommended by our hotel staff. :(

“Great Sunday Roast and good value too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2010

I had the combination roast beef and pork Sunday roast while my wife had the roast lamb. The quality of the meat and sides were all cooked very nicely. The dinner cost NZ$12.50 per person.
