After reading reviews for restaurants in Te Anau, there didn't seem to be many options, but we finally decided on this one. Our B&B helped us make a reservation. We brought our own wine, but weren't allowed to drink it there.
Service was fine, but you need to prompt. We had to say we were ready to order, ask for a dessert menu, the check, etc.
I started with a summer scallop and it was really good. My husband got a big salad which was good, but the waitress should have mentioned that he'd be getting that same salad as a side to his main (we ordered everything at once). We shared a bread plate with dips and some were better than others.
My husband got the venison and it was a little dry, not too much flavor but the polenta that accompanied it was good. I got the fish special with curry which was very good, a lot of food. We ended with the chocolate torte which was really disappointing. Coffee was good.
