We had dinner here while staying in Te Anau. The restaurant was very busy (even on a Monday evening) which can be taken as a positive sign. The food was fine but nothing special - Te Anau is a long way from Italy so don't get carried away with other reviewer comments. My main impression of the place was that we felt somewhat rushed by the waiting staff, despite both being fast eaters and the restaurant being virtually empty after 8.30pm - perhaps the staff wanted to get home early? Or perhaps it would be more charitable to describe the staff as highly efficient? Which they were, to be fair - though I swear my empty plate was on its way back to the kitchen a split second after I released my fork for the final time. Perfectly pleasant people and place though. Would we come back again? Maybe.
