We went on the Real Journeys Doubtfull sound cruise - it was absolutely awesome and it was great to get a glimpse of the power station. My only complaint is that the boat was very crowded with tour groups. But the cruise itself was very well run and I will right a separate review of Doubtful Sound itself. The crew was awesome, very knowledgeable and talked and answered all my kid's questions about the wildlife. The lunches were very filling and the unlimited tea and coffee the perfect touch.
What I would like to comment on is how the staff went above and beyond for us: I needed to contact a group that we were doing a tour with the next day to confirm our reservation or our (already paid tickets) will be cancelled. Unfortunately their ph # was not written on the ticket and we could not get our internet access up and running. When we checked in for our Doubtful Sound Cruise we asked if he could quickly look at their website to get their phone number. Neil, the real Journeys employee did but could not find it. He told us to leave our information and he'll see what he can do. When we got back we went to see him and he said he had confirmed it after trying 3 phone numbers ad then finaly e-mailing back& forth with the place. WOW!! He totally did not need to help us, just helped us because helpful (and thereby affirming my opinion of how great kiwis are!!).
