We were a party of 15 celebrating a birthday . We started proceedings with a wine tasting in their underground cellar. This was very well done and a plus was the food served at the tasting - rabbit rilletts and zucchini trifolati - top notch. We then moved to a large table in the outside courtyard , where we partook of the Trust the Chef menu - the food and service were superb , we had a cod and potato starter , then smoked salmon , shoulder of lamb , + salads , deserts for the table accompanied by Amisfield whites and reds.
We were there on a beautiful warm and sunny Sunday afternoon , which really added to the experience.
The Bistro is about 15 minutes out of Queenstown.
I must admit I was surprised that when we went to purchase a case of pinot to send home , that all prices were in AUD$ and they would not accept NZD$.
