“Fantastic, very comfortable and views to die for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2010

We spent two nights with Murray and Tish and could only wish it was more. It a most relaxing break in a long tour of NZ. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the lodge was very comfortable. We were told to help ourselves to wine and anything from the kitchen, including some delicious home made biscuits. Breakfast was awesome, freshly cooked and as much as you wanted. We cannot praise Evergreen highly enough - stay, you will not regret it. The changing panorama of the mountains through the picture windows will live with us for a very long time.

Tish and Murray run a superb b&b. It is the best run, best food, best views we stayed in during our four week's in NZ. Nothing was too much trouble for Tish and Murray. Even give you as much free wine, spirits, cookies(made my Tish) as you like.

Stay at least three nights as there are plenty of places to visit .

And we would miss Murray if we had met him. This is a beautiful lodge, very private, with a wonderful view of the Remarkables. At the same time it is a very convenient location, close to Queenstown and a great jumping-off point for day trips. It is beautifully furnished, with excellent beds and linens. Best of all is Tish, who makes you feel that she is just delighted to spend time with you and would accommodate any request. Snacks, drinks and hearty breakfasts are all served up generously. You are made to feel truly at home. We will go back!

Just a wonderful place to stay. Murray & Tish made us so welcome, it was almost like being at home. Our room was very comfortable and the view was amazing, changing each day with the different weather conditions. The guest living areas are spacious, comfortable and again with amazing views. Breakfast was great - as little or as much of whatever you wanted. For us Queenstown will always be one of our favorite places in the world. We'll be back!

Evergreen Lodge is a perfect place to be in Queenstown.
The Lodge is beautiful, the accommodations are perfect and the hosts are incredibly helpful, kind and gracious. Evergreen is situated only a few minutes from 'downtown' and has unbelievable views and privacy.

Our stay was top notch and we would *highly* recommend this Lodge to anyone and everyone coming through town.

It feels as if you are staying in the home of a good friend. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, the rooms are very gracious and the breakfasts cooked to order with a generous slathering of interesting conversation. The view of the lake and the mountain from your room, the porches,'the library or the exercise room is simply breath-taking. No matter where you have been or where you have stayed, this is as good as it gets. Owen and Lee Todd, Boston, Mass.

Just what we needed after some long journeys a place to unwind in comfort with fantastic views.
The Lodge is situated in a quiet location about a mile and a half out of Queenstown.
Greeted by the owners who were so pleasant and informative throughout our stay.
The Lodge has a wonderful feel about it and is very well appointed.
The bedroom was large and spacious with a great view .
The kitchen and larder had everything you would ever need including great wine to enjoy on the terrace and you just helped yourself to whatever you needed.
An added bonus was that the owner prepared and cooked such an interesting range of food at breakfast that was of a very high quality.
There is a small gym but its worth going on the rowing machine just for the view.
This was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand and would recommend it to anyone who wants a place with extra comfort and to relax surrounded by great views of the Remarkables and the lake.
