I have just been at a conference at this hotel, and I've been to quit a few conferences and this one came up trumps in everyday, great service, fantastic food, lovely luxurious beds, absolutely divine.
The decor is really elegant, and perfectly located. can't fault it. my room was on the lower level with no view of the lake , but opened onto a nice little garden .

Room Tip: AAsk for a room with a view.

We stayed in a two bedroom lake front unit for four nights and everything was perfect. The views of the lake and mountains from your window were breathtaking. The food and service were of a very high standard and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was within an easy walk to the centre of town.

My wife and I chose this hotel to stay in for our 10 year anniversary which we mentioned at the time of booking.

Carlos (concierge team) and the rest of the team went out of their way to make us feel special. The amazing thing was i'm pretty sure this is how they treat all of their guests. Nothing was too much trouble and their goal was to make the trip as effortless as possible.

The view from our room was incredible, with sweeping views room Queenstown town across the Remarkables and across the length of the lake. Pay for the lake view room. It's worth it. I took 100 pictures (no exaggeration). The bed was comfortable. We ordered a variety of pillows which was no problem. The room was warm and spacious. Bathroom was very nice, toiletries quite lovely. Buffet breakfast at Lombardi's was pretty great each morning, too.

We wish we didn't have to leave!

First of all the good. Amazing service (esp valet parking!), best in any place in QT! Loved the restaurant Lombardis, nice decor & size of room, & good location (5min walk to town). Not so good - no view of the lake or balcony from our room, washing machine is also a dryer but you can put the dryer on for 5hrs & clothes still damp, & when you have a shower the water leaks all over the bathroom floor so everything gets wet

I stayed in this hotel on a tour of New Zealand and it was fabulous. I had a view of the lake and Earnslaw paddle steamer from my bedroom window and it was an short, easy walk into the main town. The accomodation was huge, more of an apartment with two bedrooms (I was a solo traveller travelling with a tour group). Food was very good. This is where some of the 'Lord of the Rings' cast stayed during filming and while here I did a fantastic tour of some of the film locations (Nomad safaris) plus a jetboat ride on Shotover canyon. The town itself is quaint and very beautiful and the perfect base for touring the area. The lake is stunning with the mountains behind it and all sorts of extreme sports are available as well as leisurely boat tri[ps etc.

Room Tip: There are several rooms with panoramic views of the lake.

A huge mention must be made to the hotel management and all the staff. EVERY SINGLE staff member was truly attentive, engaged and eager to please. Effective management can work but unless the staff ENJOY their job it shows. Here it is evident that it is truly EVERY staff members desire to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I was blown away. The rooms were large (we did have 2 suites). they were opulent but not gawdy, spacious yet intimate and all the amenties were of high quality. I think I have found my new favorite hotel!!!

Room Tip: If you cannot afford to pay extra for the lakeview - go for the rooms on level 1.(they open out into...
