“Awesome hostel with a very friendly staff !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

This is the place to be if you're planning to stay in Queenstown ! It's well located and you find all you need (TV room, great kitchen, modern bathroom, a balcony...)
And the staff is so nice and dynamic ! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need help for anything. You also really quickly meet people from all over the world :)
It's really tidy and you can have fun by hanging out near the hostel ! But please avoid Nomads hostel it's the worse I've been in...

It's really near of the naked bus stop and where the Milfordsound trips begin.

Room Tip: Rooms clean and nice place to stay.

Everything you need and more :) Girls room comes with free moisturizer and nailpolish lol. Had a very nice stay I guess mostly because the atmosphere is very relaxed and open, met nice people. Wed's and sunday nights diner's are populair.

Staff was super helpful, hostel was full but i wanted to stay one more night. Then there was a bed available and she kept it for me until late that day which was sweet.

stayed for 3 nights, and loved it, the staff were really welcoming and helpful, the facilities were really great, including USB ports in your room to charge your stuff, and nice clean bathrooms with spacious showers, universal kitchen was great, everything you would need to cook yourself, including a bread maker if your so inclined. Had a great time here, and having been to heaps of other hostels in my travels, id say this one was the best, and comparatively cheap also.

Wow wow and wow ! I booked a 5 nights stay from Canada after reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor. This hostel is just incredible, I ended up staying like 10 days. The location is perfect, right in the center, there is a huge kitchen fully equipped with many fridge and stoves, and places to store your food. The lounge is so cozy with the big screen tv which included a ton of recent movies and tv series. The atmosphere is really chill, the owner Bret make you feel like home right away and all the staff is always smiling and ready to help you booking activities or just to find your way around. There is activity at the hostel every week nights, it can either be a BBQ night, or movie or either quiz nights, which is perfect to socialize and enjoy a drink with the other travelers. There is 2 huge patio to enjoy the sun, or just to sit down and relax while reading a book or to plan the rest of your trip. Free wifi, free storage room, free bike rentals, free everything. Everything is very clean, I love it and will definately go there on my way back to Queenstown. Dont miss it and make sure to book well in advance :)

I was only here 2 nights but it was amazing! The owner is extremely passionate about his home and keen to make your stay the best in not just Queenstown but NZ! Great areas to socialise in which made meeting new people easy and the location is unreal! 30 second walk from the bus terminal with city centre location. Even though you are right in the centre, you get a great nights sleep due to the double glazing.
Each bed has 2 sockets, a usb adaptor and a wallet to keep things close by like your passport etc. Sounds like a little thing but I have been in 8 bed dorm where everyone is fighting over 2 sockets! There is free wifi throughout also unlike many other hostels that charge around 5 dollars a day. I had an ensuite bathroom that looked almost brand new but I also looked at the communal ones and they were the same. Towels were also rolled up on the beautifully made up bed...I loved this as there is nothing worse than packing a wet towel.
The luggage store impressed me, you needed a code to get in, had lockers that were fitted with sockets and there was an infrared camera in there so you knew that your stuff was safe! Totally impressed, hoping to be back to Queenstown and will most certainly be booking well in advance.

As everyone else has already said, this hostel is just perfect. The owner is great, really cares about his hostel and has done everything he can think of to make everyone's stay enjoyable. The rooms are great (I stayed in the female dorm with ensuite) and the atmosphere is awesome. They have hostel events like movie nights and trivia nights, there is something on almost every night of the week. Its also a great location, really close to everything you need.

I loved my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely book in advance as the owner is constantly having to turn people away because they're so booked out.

Room Tip: Female dorm with ensuite was great!

Everything every other hostel has, this has in abundance. Brett the hostel manager (same name as me, still an objective review), has travelled a lot and this shows in the facilites that the hostel offer and the way it is run.

He has picked up all the good points from other hostels he has stayed in and implemented them all in this little gem in QT.

I dont write many reviews and it has taken me 2 years to write this, but I feel obliged to as it was so good.

A benchmark of what all other hostels should aspire to be!
