“Spotlessly clean, modern, and with great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

We spent three nights at this little B&B in October and absolutely enjoyed it! The studio was spotlessly clean, moderly furnished and really cosy - a bit of luxury. The location is great, you can conveniently walk to town. The views from the big front window are spectacular and Bernadette, the host, is lovely and attentive. We loved the little gifts she provided in our room like chocolate bits etc. We'll definitely come back!

Room Tip: We stayed in studio 1 and absolutely loved it. But studio 2 is right next door, so the views are the...

We stayed in Studio 1 for 5 nights in October and it was great. The size of the studio is perfect, and the layout well thought through. Beautiful, comfortable bed, with electric blanket and additional fan heater for those chillier times. Good sized bathroom and a decent sized wardrobe with a bag stand so that everything could be put away, great for unpacking for a decent length stay.

The views… what can I say. Picture postcard stuff, just amazing from the Remarkables around to the golf course and beyond down the lake towards Queenstown.

Location was also one of the best features. Close enough to walk into town in about 10 minutes but far enough out of town and up from the main road to be quite at night, great for a solid nights sleep.

Bernadette was great, meeting us on arrival and showing us through the unit. She was available if we needed anything, which we didn't, but not intrusive - great host.

We loved our time in Queenstown and we will definitely be back and will booking in at No 70 well in advance to ensure we get the best accommodation in Queenstown.

Room Tip: Choose Studio One - its a bigger room.

Immaculate studio room with spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu. Sliding door opens out to a patio offering an unobstructed view. Unfortunately sleep quality wasn't that great for us - there was a bit of noise from above and next door.

We spent 5 nights in this immaculate studio during one of the coldest months in Q-town, we were very warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the beautiful furnishings, bed, clean and new bathroom and the spacious room. Found this excellent value - much nicer and bigger than many hotel rooms at twice the price! Loved the short stroll to town, and up Q-town hill for a bit more exercise. Just perfect. Thanks to Bernadette and Kevin, lovely hosts.

This was the best place we have stayed in in New Zealand. We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012, and it was really beautiful. The room was really nice and very clean. The furniture was all in black and white. The bed was very comfortable, together with an electronic blanket. It had everything from wifi, toiletries, breakfast in the mini refrigerator, and off street parking. The views from the glass wall / windows were so stunning, you could just stay in your room the whole day appreciating the views. Bernadette was very nice too. I would never stay anywhere else in Queenstown!

I stayed here for 4 wonderful days. The studio apartment is luxurious, spacious, immaculate, well designed with all quality amenities....just beautiful. You walk out onto the balcony with a panoramic view of Queenstown at its best. Its close enough to town, a good solid but lovely 20 min walk. But I must say Bernadette & Kevins hospitality was just outstanding, fantastic hosts and I couldn't speak highly enough of them, always willing to please their visitors, nothing is a problem. All the little extras, breakfast, juice, yoghurt & fruit, bread, chocolate treats and of course our little xmas gift when I returned on xmas day from a hard bike ride.

Everyone should stay here, it is warm & inviting but exceptional to say the least and we have stayed at some lovely hotels & apartments. Many thanks Kevin & Bernadette, all the best for 2012 and we will see you later in the year. Kindest Regards.

We stayed in the apartments for four nights, we were only suppose to stay for 2 nights but we got stuck in the snow storm that hit Queenstown. Couldnt have been a better place to get stuck, the apartment has amazing views of the lake and mountains, was very close to town (so wasnt far to walk in the snow to get supplies) very modern decore, very clean and tidy and a beautiful comfortable bed. The owners were extremly helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Could not recomend this place highly enough we will be back for sure, as it was great value for money too. As a family we have stayed in alot of places in Queenstown but this was by far the best! Thanks Bernadette!
