“Clean and a lot of extras included”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Great location & clean rooms. Some nice extras like free wi-fi, own light and plug for every bed, fridge and TV in the room. The bathroom door in the room was doesn't stop any noise at all... and I really could live without this noise of my room mates. ;-) But had a good stay in Queenstown and could recommend this backpacker.

Have stayed at other hostels in Queenstown and loved them until I stayed here. Here wins.
Walked in and checked in (location is amazing) was on our way up to the room and a dude walked past and immediately invited us to come to the common room to watch the hang over. The atmosphere is just great.
We stayed in a 4 bed dorm for the 4 of us. The rooms themselves are nice enough for somewhere and great for a backpackers. Sheets are floral patterned but clean. The bunk beds are fine and comfortable. The bathroom door isnt noise proof but you can turn the tv on to hide noise and the shower is just aluminium floor with painted walls basically so cheaply done but clean and comfortable and practical. Had a bar fridge and hanging space which was nice for drying snow clothes.
Get pub crawls going past at odd hours but they are pretty far away and dont impact you really and are over within 5 minutes. Lift is very small.
Will recommend everyone to stay here (and no one so there will always be room for me :D )

Room Tip: try and get near the common room

I loved this place! In the city, minutes away from the amazing Fergburger, great rooms!

The staff were beyond awesome, always friendly and even gave me a discount on the room that we booked spur of the moment. Very clean, spacious rooms, nice and warm.

Loved it! Will absolutely stay here again next time.

Overall fantastic! Rooms are clean and everyone is friendly. Recommended if you are travelling solo or a group. Communal Kitchen and common room upstairs with cable tv and free pool. Lobby doubles as a tourist desk during the day and hangout spot in the evening. Great value for money and its one of the most central hostels. Everything is in walking distance (fergburger is less than 100m away). The 2 owners Sean and Nadine are very friendly and helpful aswell as everyone else who works there. Will stay here again. All rooms have a private ensuite too.

Fantastic location, couldn't be any closer to the action. The staff are fantastic and the atmosphere makes you feel as though your at home amongst many friends. The hostel itself is very clean with great communal areas including fantastic view out over the water from the TV room. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm (and was told by many that I got the best room in the place). It was spacious enough had its own bathroom. The room was filled with light throughout the day (great views) and dark at night. What else could you want really?
