We were on the last day of our holiday and it's become a bit of a tradition for us to look for a meal that's special. True South offered this and more. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and knowledgeable, but the food was the true star of the show and each course arrived with due ceremony. New Zealanders are proud of their country and justifiably so. They're also proud of their produce and True South uses locally sourced ingredients to great effect. My wife's meal was centred on Wakanui beef cheek and mine on Akaroa salmon, that followed Canterbury quail and Organic Jerusalem artichoke soup respectively. Our meal was brought to a stunning and beautifully styled conclusion by the dessert of Bramley apple and blackberry, white chocolate and hazelnut. If you're in Queenstown and want somewhere truly classy to dine, you must give True South a try.
